GS sample question answer -

My name is Nur Mohammed from Bangladesh and come from a family of four. Having grown up
in a world where data is used increasingly, I've always been fascinated by how information can
change industries and have a profound impact on society. This curiosity drew me to the study of
Business information systems, which combines information technology and business processes
to manage, organize, and analyze data for effective decision-making within an organization. It
plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and facilitating strategic decision-making.

Educational Background
I completed my Secondary School Certificate from Shahin Academy with a GPA of 3.28 out of
5.00 in 2020. Later, I passed my Higher Secondary Certificate from Joynal Hazari College with a
GPA of 4.08 out of 5.00 in 2022. I attended both the examinations from my Business Studies
stream. Currently I am studying 1st year degree from Feni Govt College. My subject is BBS. I
enrolled myself here in 30th June 2023. Upon entering upper secondary school, I became
fascinated by the intricate workings of the corporate world and the dynamic interactions
between finance, marketing, economics, and management. My interest in business inspired me
to pursue the Business Studies program, which helped me realize how important data-driven
decision- making is to the success of organizations.

Why Business and information systems?

My curiosity was piqued by a straightforward questioning that led me on my journey: how do

businesses make decisions? I read a ton of books on data analysis, looked through internet
tutorials, and had thought-provoking conversations with my seniors, all of which helped me learn
more about this fascinating subject. Bangladesh is a developing nation that has seen economic
growth and the emergence of the private sector. Prospective company leaders have numerous
opportunities to take advantage of the current state of affairs, since there is a demand for more
highly skilled business systems analysts in the country. My enthusiasm with business and
information systems therefore originates from its innate capacity to convert unprocessed data
into meaningful insights, enabling organizations to make well-informed decisions, maximize their
operational efficiency, and accomplish their strategic objectives. My ability to gather, clean,
analyze, and understand data as well as effectively convey findings to stakeholders will be
enhanced by these courses.

Why not Bangladesh?

The market irrelevance of the Bangladeshi education system is just one of the numerous
reasons that force me to not rely on it. Numerous colleges, even those regarded as the
pinnacles of education in the nation, continue to teach out-of-date courses with less application
to the workforce. As a result, students struggle to transfer their knowledge seamlessly to the
workplace and continue to be unemployed. For many, a degree is merely a passable admission
token in the selection process. Thus, the degrees amount to little more than a time and energy
waster. The fact that universities provide courses with a focus on business and information
systems continues to be a supporting factor. Business Administration undergrad degrees are
available from numerous universities, including DU, CU, NSU, and others. Nevertheless, there
aren't any of these programs that specialize in or provide majors in business and information
systems. As a result, pupils learn little and are unable to gain experience from these programs.
Another significant problem at these universities is the dearth of trainers and lab supplies.
Bangladesh is still in its infancy and its universities were not as exposed to technology as those
in wealthy nations. Due to the fact that no university in the nation was able to place among the
top 500 in the most recent QS World University Rankings 2023–2024, these also have an
impact on the global university rankings. This encourages me even more to pursue degrees
overseas and study under industry experts. For all of these reasons—including the low
teacher-to-student ratio, reliance on informal education, and ignorance of technological
advancements—I am choosing to continue my higher education elsewhere.

Why not other countries?

I immersed myself in a thorough decision-making process while researching possible bachelor's

degree destinations. For additional examination, I have mainly included the USA, Australia, the
UK, China, and a few European nations. Australia was the final country I selected after it met all
of my requirements. I'll give a quick explanation of why I decided to drop the other nations.
The USA
I haven't selected the USA because of its time-consuming admission standards, which include
tests like the GRE and GMAT among others, and the admittance threshold. Although these tests
measure certain attributes, I believe they are insufficiently thorough to gauge my enthusiasm for
studying a given subject. I don't want to invest my time in these processes and keep waiting for
the outcome. In addition, without financial aid, the cost of college in the United States is
substantially higher. It is increasingly more difficult for international students to afford their
studies in the USA due to the country's shaky economy.
The UK
As numerous investigations have shown, students' living conditions in the UK have been falling
along with the country's high rate of inflation and rising educational costs. The UK, in my
opinion, has the hardest time maintaining living standards.
Canada
Although Canada offers a number of scholarships to its students, The cost of living in Canada is
relatively high, which can make it difficult to afford tuition, accommodation, and other expenses.
Also, the Canadian immigration system is complex and challenging to navigate, especially for
international students.
Europe
I have not selected Europe because of significant language problems that will prevent me from
regularly interacting with people. Additionally, I could find it difficult to complete my studies there
due to the foreign and complex educational system.

Reasons to Choose Australia

I have several reasons for selecting Australia as my study-abroad country. The explanation
above makes it clear that Australia outweighed every consideration that prevented me from
selecting any of the aforementioned nations. The Australian Qualification Framework (AQF)
supports an international student-friendly educational program that draws students from around
the globe and fosters a broad cultural exchange on campus. In light of the current global
economic turbulence, Australia's economic situation is relatively better than that of other
potential nations. Additionally, Australian educational institutions give their students access to
state-of-the-art research facilities that enable them to get practical knowledge. In addition to
other advantages, Bangladesh and Australia share a fairly similar environmental landscape,
which will help me settle in quicker and concentrate on my studies. Furthermore, I completely
trust the Australian legal system, so my worries about safety and security are allayed. My
decision to continue my further education in Australia is also inspired by the government's policy
protecting the rights of overseas students

Career Plan
I'm going to return to Bangladesh right away once I graduate from Victoria University with my
degree. I can divide the motivations behind my return to Bangladesh into two main categories:
personal preferences and professional goals.
In terms of career aspirations, I aspire to not just earn money but to have an impact on society.
Bangladesh as a developing country has been going through a drastic shift moving from a
traditional way of doing business to a technology orientation in every aspect. However, as
mentioned, the country still lacks proper human resources in the Business technology and
analytic sector to properly maneuver the transformation. Hence, after returning from Australia, I
am sure I will land a respectable position because prestigious firms like Square, Beximco,
Bashundhara Group, Grameenphone, and ACI Limited highly value an Australian degree. Thus,
my short-term career objectives include being a financial analyst and business analyst for
well-known Bangladeshi companies. Eventually, I want to gain enough corporate experience to
start my own IT company that will be specializing in business technology.

Sponsor Details
My father is the sponsor of my studies in Australia. He is a well reputed businessman in
Bangladesh. He has sufficient fixed assets and savings along with his monthly income to
conveniently support my studies in Australia during my undergraduate years.
