• Substitute the value of x and y in the equation and see if the equation is
satisfied.
• The first equation is x+y=7. Substituting x=5 and y=2 in this equation, we
get 5+2=7.
• The second equation is 3x-2y=11. Substituting x=5 and y=2 in
this equation, we get 3(5)-2(2)=15-4=11.
Hence, our solution is correct.
