VizRT Restart
Introduction
This document provides the method for VizRT Restart.
Procedure
1. Restart Viz Pilot Server
2. Shutdown Remaining PCs
3. Start-up Remaining PCs
1. Restart Viz Pilot Server
1.1. On the KVM in the workshop, press <Ctrl> twice to open the KVM menu.
1.2. Select Viz Pilot Server.
1.3. Click on Connect.
1.4. Restart Viz Pilot Server (wpepgrppdb01). Ignore the N drive being
disconnected.
1.5. Login as:
Username: svcWPEPGRPPDB01app0z
Password: Q52T9F6Xfi
1.6. Confirm that Carbon Black is turned ON when it is powered back up again.

2. Shutdown Remaining PCs
2.1. Director PC
2.1.1. On the Director PC in the studio, close the Director 6.1 and Media
Sequencer applications
2.1.2. Shutdown the PC.
2.2. Viz Engine 1 PC
2.2.1. On the KVM in the workshop, press <Ctrl> twice to open the KVM
menu.
2.2.2. Select Viz Engine 1.
2.2.3. Click on Connect.
2.2.4. Stop Media Sequencer and close the application.
2.2.5. Close the Viz Engine application.
If Viz Engine is minimized, right click Viz Engine in taskbar and select
Close Window.
If Viz Engine is maximized, click the X in top right corner.
2.2.6. Close the Graphic Hub via the Viz GH Manager .
2.2.7. Launch Viz GH Manager.

2.2.8. Login as:
Username: Admin
Password: VizDb
2.2.9. Press <F10> to bring up the shutdown window.
2.2.10. Click Shutdown in the bottom right and then click Yes to confirm.
2.2.11. Close Viz GH Manager.

2.2.12. Wait a minute for it to fully shutdown. Be aware they take a long time
to stop.
2.2.13. Shutdown Viz Engine 1 PC.
2.3. Viz Engine 2 PC
2.3.1. On the KVM in the workshop, press <Ctrl> twice to open the KVM
menu.
2.3.2. Select Viz Engine 2.
2.3.3. Click on Connect.
2.3.4. Close the Viz Engine application.
If Viz Engine is minimized, right click Viz Engine in taskbar and select
Close Window.
If Viz Engine is maximized, click the X in top right corner.
2.3.5. Shutdown Viz Engine 2 PC.
2.4. Viz Frame Server PC
2.4.1. On the KVM in the workshop, press <Ctrl> twice to open the KVM
menu.

2.4.2. Select Viz Frame Serve.
2.4.3. Click on Connect.
2.4.4. Close the Viz Engine application.
If Viz Engine is minimized, right click Viz Engine in taskbar and
select Close Window.
If Viz Engine is maximized, click the X in top right corner.
2.4.5. Shutdown Viz Frame Server PC.
3. Startup Remaining PCs
3.1. Viz Engine 1 PC
3.1.1. Power on Viz Engine 1 PC. Wait for Windows, it should auto logon.
Engine application and GH should start and logon automatically.
3.1.2. Wait a few minutes.
3.1.3. Check that the Media Sequencer Launcher is started and running. If it
is not running, click Start Service.
3.1.4. Check connections to network drives in Windows Explorer.
3.1.5. Open Windows Explorer
3.1.6. Double click on network drives.

3.2. Viz Engine 2 PC
3.2.1. Power on Viz Engine 2 PC. Wait for Windows, it should auto logon.
Engine application and GH should start and logon automatically.
3.2.2. Wait a few minutes.
3.2.3. Check connections to network drives in Windows Explorer.
3.2.4. Open Windows Explores.
3.2.5. Double click on network drives.
3.2.6. Confirm that Carbon Black is turned ON when it is powered back up
again.
3.3. Viz Frame PC
3.4. Director PC
3.4.1. Power on the Viz Director PC in the studio. Machine should logon
automatically.
3.4.2. Check that the Media Sequencer Launcher is started and running. If it
is not running, click Start Service.
3.4.3. Start the Director 6.1 application.
3.4.4. Check connections to network drives in Windows Explorer.
3.4.5. Open Windows Explores.
3.4.6. Double click on network drives.
3.4.7. Check system in the studio – paying attention to key signals as these
have given problems in the past.

3.4.8. Email directors to inform them of the restart and ask that they check
the system FULLY as early as possible.
