INTRAMURAL AND SLT DAYS 2023


OVERALL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. ATTENDANCE is a must, as it will be added to the overall points per team.
2. All teams must have a SPORTS COORDINATOR, TEAM LEADER, SPORTS CAPTAIN, and Team
Coach for security and other concerns by their team, players, and management.
3. High school participants for modern games must participate can participate in a maximum
of 2 modern game events ONLY. Failure to adhere may result in the player’s disqualification.
4. Teams must refrain from using black as their team color.
5. ALWAYS APPLY SPORTSMANSHIP. The decision making regarding the tensions during play
like late calls, delaying time, swapping of players, and other faults will be the concern of the
officiating officials.
6. Players must wear their respective uniforms during the game. (In volleyball, players must
only choose a number within their overall team population. Meanwhile, basketball and
other sports event may choose any number.)
7. The decision of the referee is final and irrevocable.
8. Sports coordinators are eligible of resolving conflicts, ergo they should be the ones to be
approached first before going to the Overall Tournament Manager.
9. If a team is to issue a petition, it must be passed before the end of the day and requires a
petition letter to the sports coordinators.
10. Triple headers will not be encouraged, unless necessary.
11. All teams have a default time of 3 minutes.
12. Proper attires are a must. Failure to adherence may result to the player’s disqualification.
13. A baggage room is provided for the personal belongings of team members categorized per
team. Likewise, there will be a designated lost and found section.
14. SPORTS COORDINATORS are not eligible as participants for muse and escort as well as for
the creative attire competition.
15. Participants for the muse and escort and creative attire are prohibited from hiring
professional make-up artists, costume designers, etc.
16. Members can participate in more than one of the following events: Folk Dance Competition,
Interpretative Dance Competition, Cheer dance Competition, Modern Dance Competition
and Battle of the Bands; but must keep in mind to let others join as well. Therefore, those
with fewer or no events to compete.
TOURNAMENT PATTERN
Champions of each sport event shall be decided via DOUBLE ELIMINATION.
However, for Sepaktakraw, Round Robin will be implemented. A ramification
was made and is attached along with this document.

PROGRAM ACTIVITIES
This event is targeted to be carried out within 3 days and students and pupils will be divided
into 6 teams to partake in the following activities:
I. YELL
 Each house shall compose their own yell to be performed during the Opening Program. All
members are mandated to participate.
II. INDIGENOUS GAMES (HIGH SCHOOL ONLY)
 Indigenous Cooking (2 participants per house)
 Husk Relay (5 female representatives per house)
 Inetaan (2 female representatives)
 Ag-agto (5 female representatives per house)
 Kadang-kadang (5 male representatives per house)
 Log rolling (1 male representative per house)
 Log Carrying (1 male representative per house)
 Leg Wrestling (1 male representative per house)
 Pak-paka-ak (4 representatives per team; boys’ and girls’ category)
 Big Shoe (8 participants per house; boys’ and girls’ category)
 Tug of War (10 participants per house; boys’ and girls’ category)
III. PARLOR GAMES (ELEMENTARY ONLY)
 Calamansi Race (6 participants per house; mixed: 3 boys, 3 girls)
 Planting Rice (6 participants per house; mixed: 3 boys, 3 girls)
 Tug of War (10 participants per house; mixed: 5 boys, 5 girls)
 Trip to Jerusalem (5 participants per house; each participant shall compete individually but
they will carry with them their house names. The winner of the game shall be the one who
got to the destination first)
 Longest Line (20 participants; mixed: 10 boys, 10 girls)
 Sack Race (6 participants per house; boys’ and girls’ category)
IV. BALL GAMES
 BASKETBALL (minimum of 5 members per house)
--ELEMENTARY: Free Throw; For boys only.
--HIGH SCHOOL: 10 minutes running time per quarter. s
 VOLLEYBALL (minimum of 6 members per house)
--ELEMENTARY: Mixed; Race to 30
--HIGH SCHOOL: Race to 25, Best of 3 sets
 FUTSAL (minimum of 5 members per house)
--ELEMENTARY: 10-10 minutes running time
--HIGH SCHOOL: 20-20 minutes running time
 SOCCER (minimum of 5 members)
--HIGH SCHOOL: 20-20 minutes running time
 BADMINTON (6 members)
--Female and Male Singles; 2 for doubles; 2 for mixed doubles.
--Race to 21, Best of 3 sets
 SEPAKTAKRAW (Co-ed) (minimum of 3 members per house)
--3 sets, Race to 21; Round Robin
 TABLE TENNIS (4 members)
--2 for Doubles Category, 2 for Single Category: 1 for Bracket A and 1 for Bracket B
--Race to 11; Best of 3 sets
V. BOARD GAMES
A. CHESS:
1. Each player is allotted 30 min in their chess clock per game
2. The game shall be won either through checkmate and/or the first player to lose time,
stalemate shall result to a rematch.
3. Illegal moves shall result in a time deduction to players of 5 min. here are examples of
illegal moves:
– Moving the King on a square that is attacked by the opponent’s pieces.
– Not protecting the King who was attacked by the opponent’s piece. For example,
leaving the King in check.
– Moving a piece in a way that the piece is not allowed to move. For example, moving
a Bishop in a L-shape like a Knight.
– Revealing your king to an open check
– Re-castling to an attacked square or while under check
4. Chess players are to be silent and watchers are to be limited and not to coach the
players.
5. When the opponent makes an illegal move, players must inform the arbiter right away.
B. Game of the Generals:
1. It shall be a double-elimination game where the first move shall be determined by a coin
toss.
2. The game shall be won either by means of capturing the flag or the flag can move twice
in the opponent’s back lines without being captured.
3. An arbiter shall be provided that shall avoid biased decisions.
4. Players are to be silent when playing the game.
5. Watchers shall be limited and are not allowed to coach the players or give suggestions.
C. Scrabble:
1. It shall be a game for the most points earned to move to the next stage of the game.
2. The game shall be won by the player with the most points
3. An arbiter shall be designated to avoid loss of points and remind of the rules.
4. Watchers shall be limited and are not allowed to coach the players or give suggestions
5. In case of a tie, a tie-breaker game shall be done between the players.
D. Word Factory or Boogle
1. It shall be a game for the most points earned to move to the next stage of the game.
2. An arbiter shall be designated to avoid loss of points and remind of the rules.
3. Watchers shall be limited and are not allowed to coach the players or give suggestions
4. A tie shall give a next match between both players.
5. The game shall be won by the player with the most points.
