10 - U4: Writing (Application Letter for Volunteer Work)

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for the job of a volunteer at your Heart to Heart Charity Office. I saw
the notice-board at my school last Monday.

I have experience in doing office work. Last summer, I worked at Ho Chi Minh Museum as a
receptionist. I was responsible for greeting guests, answering their questions and telephone
calls. Sometimes, I guided them around the museum.

I am a reliable, honest, hard-working person. I also have good communication skills, time-
management skills, and English proficiency. My test score is 7.0. References are available to
send you when needed.

I am available for an interview any day after 4 p.m. and during the weekend. If my
application is successful, I can start working from next week in the afternoons and at
weekends.
