ORAL COMMUNICATION

In Oral Communication, I learned that oral is a spoken language and communication is a

process that occurs between two or more people (the speaker and the receiver). Communication
can be expressed through written or spoken words, action (nonverbal), or both spoken words and
nonverbal actions at the same time. Also the elements of communication which are the speaker,
it is the sources of information of the message, message it is the information ideas or thoughts
conveyed by the speaker in words or in action, encoding it is the process of converting the
message into words, actions, or other forms that the speaker understands, channel it is the
medium or the means, such as personal or non-personal, verbal or nonverbal, in which the
encoded message is conveyed, decoding it is the process of interpreting the encoded message of
the speaker by the receiver, receiver it is the recipient of the message, or someone who decodes
the message, feedback it is the reaction or response of the receiver, context it is the environment
where communication takes place and the last element of communication is the barrier it is the
factor that affects the flow of communication.

I learned that oral communication is one of the important tools to connect with people.
Communication is essential to be developed so that you are able to interact with people. I have
learned a great deal about effective communication in my Oral Communication course. I have
learned the importance of using different types of communication, being an active listener, and
using feedback. These skills will help me to become a more effective communicator in all
aspects of my life.
ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT

In this subject, Organization and Management, I learned the meaning of management, manager,
the three levels of organization, managerial skills, and also the three types of employees. Management it
is the process of coordinating and overseeing the work performance of individuals working together in
organization, and when you say manager it is am individual engaged in management activities, who
supervise, sustain, uphold and assume responsibility for the work of others in his or her work group,
team , organization in general and there is 3 level of organization which are the Top Level Managers who
are the general or strategies managers who focus on long term organizational concerns, The Middle-Level
Managers who are the tactical managers and last the Frontline or Lower-level manager who are also
known as operational managers and are responsible for supervising the organizations day by day. And in
terms of manager skills, they are called manager skills and are classified into three categories: conceptual
skills, which enable managers to think of possible solutions to complex problems, human skills, which
enable managers at all levels to relate to people, and technical skills, which are important to managers for
them to perform their tasks with proficiency with the use of their expertise. I also learned about the 3
types of employees: the engaged, which is the employee who works with passion and feels a deep
connection with their company; the not engaged, who are essentially "checked out" and work part time
but have no energy or passion for their work; and the active disengaged, who is not only unhappy at work
but also acts out their unhappiness.

Learning Organization and Management gives us knowledge on how to manage an organization

properly when you are a manager or employee, and it also gives us tips on how to be a good leader in an
organization and the rights of every employee.
21st CENTURY

In the 21st century, I learned about folk tales, which are made up of stories about life, adventure,
love, horror, and humor from which one can derive lessons. An example of a folk tale is The Moon and
the Sun. The Epic Age is a series of long narrative poems in which a series of heroic achievements or
events, usually those of a hero, are dealt with. Folk songs are one of the oldest forms of Philippine
literature that emerged in the pre-Spanish period. These songs mirrored the early form or culture; many of
them have 12 syllables. Examples of folk songs are Kundiman, oyayi o hele, Kumintang o tagumpay, etc.

In the 21st century, I also learned that the first Filipino alphabet was called the ALABATA and
was replaced by the Roman alphabet. Also, the teaching of Christian doctrine became the basis of
religious practices. And lastly, I learned about Haiku and Tanaga. Haiku is a poem or free verse that the
Japanese like. It was made up of 17 syllables divided into three lines, while Tanaga is like Haiku; it is
short, but it has measured and rhymed. And after discussing Haiku and Tanaga, our teacher let us make a
Haiku poem and read it in front of the class.
PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy is the study of fundamental questions about life, existence, knowledge,

values, and the nature of reality. It is a discipline that seeks to understand and explore the
fundamental principles that shape our understanding of the world and our place in it. Philosophy
comes from the Greek words, philo and Sophia which means lover of wisdom. Philosophy is
different thinking of such things like ideas, issues, nature of truths and knowledge, a study of the
world, principles of conduct etc in which people needs to confront in their everyday living. It
helps humans of understand, clarifies and even express ideas that enrich the lives of people
through experience, sociability, observations and gaining more wisdom. Also in this subject we
tackled about the most notable ancient Greek philosophers first is Pythagoras he is a mathematician and a
scientist, followed by Heraclitus he proposed that everything that exist is based on a higher order or plan
which he called logos, followed by Democritus he devoted himself to the study of the causes of tiny
particles called atoms and Diogenes of Sinope he was known advocate of living a simple and virtuos life.
And lastly when I hear the word Philosophy it come to my mind that it is the study of humans and the
world by thinking and asking questions.

at Galileo S. Zafra.
Dayalek, Sosyolik, Idyolik, Etnolik, Ekolik, Jargon, Rigister, Pidgin at Creole.
paaralan.
CONTEMPORARY ART
In contemporary arts I learned that the J. Paul Getty museum defines contemporary Arts
as art made and produce by artists living today. Contemporary art today is not restricted to the
individual experience of the artist but it is reflective of the world that we live in. Art is produce
by people and people are influence by time contemporary artis continuing practice that have
evolved. In contemporary I learned about the new elements/ principle and these includes
appropriation, performance, space, Hybridity, and technology. Studying contemporary art is good
and entertaining because it talks about the beautiful arts made by famous artist and it talks about
architecture like buildings and bridge and etc. Also it talks about Famous artists and their arts.
I have learned that contemporary art is an art made and produce by artist living today.
Contemporary Art from the Region refers to an art form that are developing in various region of
the Philippines that relied on the existing material in a specific period of a province. It is an art
produced at the present period. Contemporary Art from the region help me to understand how art
affect our daily lives as a student and as a person. Aside from the contemporary art, we’ve also
tackle the Philippine architecture. In exploring Philippine architecture, we witness a dynamic
dialogue between the past and the present, where indigenous forms merge with modern
techniques to redefine spatial narratives. Through contemporary art, we learn to appreciate the
rich talent of Filipino architectural heritage while
EARTH AND LIFE SCIENCE

In Earth and Life, I learned about the solar system. It is composed of the sun and the eight
major planet revolving around it and among those eight planets, only one can support life which
is the Earth, the planet we lived in. Also I learned that there are only one two major requirement
for a planet to become habitable. First is the star should survive long enough for it’s planets to
develop life which means a medium-mass star, such as star can survive long enough for life to
develop and the second requirement is the planet must be located in the goldilocks zone-a region
in the universe where water could remain liquid.

I learned earned that evolution is the theory that holds biology together. It explains why
there is unity and diversity in life. It explains how and why different biological systems came to
be. And even in modern applications, it is incorporated in many applications, such as in animal
breeding, or in creating vaccines. In Life Science, evolution became even more interesting
because of all the activities we did. Learning more about evolution did not change my belief in
God, but it did give me a new perspective in life .not only did I learn things about evolution, but
I also learned more about the process of learning. One should learn how to appreciate what he is
learning. One should also learn how to be patient when trying to understand things.
READING AND WRITING (2nd Sem)

In Reading and Writing, I learned about the different patterns of Development. The first pattern
is the Narration, it is used to tell a story or focus on a set of related events, being able to narrative
events is a useful skill because your ability to tell stories could help you prove a point, in writing
the main idea for a narrative text you need to choose a topic for a narrative text since a narrative
text tells a story, second is formulating Opinions. The second pattern is Definition, using
definition to develop an idea helps to clarify and explain concepts by answering the question
“what does it mean?” It explains the information using illustrations, examples and
descriptions .Next is Exemplification, it represents the general statement and then provides
specific is used to provide an example of something. The followed by Comparison and Contrast,
this pattern organizes ideas based on how the events, place, things and concept are similar to or
different from one another. The next is Description which is the way the essay is organized, from
one paragraph to the next in order to present it’s thesis and the relevant, authoritative support for
it, in a coherent and meaningful passion. Followed by Classification and Division, it organizes
ideas into categories or divisions based on criteria and standards.
CREATIVE WRITING (2nd Semester)

In Creative Writing I learned about the three(3) forms of writing, the

Imaginative/Creative Writing, you can picture out a beautiful scene on your mind and it
expresses beautiful ideas and thoughts examples of this are novels, Epics, short stories, songs,
screenplay, and television scripts, the Technical Writing it is a type of writing the author's is
writing a particular subject that requires direction, instructions and explanation like Company
Documents, Service Agreement, Software Installation Guide and Users Manuals, and the last
form or writing is the Academic Writing it is the formal Writing style that is used in colleges and
universities, In Writing this it should be based on facts and evidence and do not use your own
opinion. Examples of this are Research Paper, Portfolio, essay, textbook, thesis, abstract, book
report, and etc.
APPLIED ECONOMICS

I learned that. Applied economics has proven to be a powerful tool in analyzing real-world
problems and formulating effective solutions. In this reflection, I will explore the practical
implications of applied economics and its impact on various aspects of society. One aspect that
stands out about applied economics is its pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Unlike
theoretical economics, which often deals with abstract concepts and models, applied economics
takes these theories and applies them to real-world scenarios. It seeks to provide practical
solutions to economic challenges faced by individuals, businesses, governments, and society as a
whole. Applied economics also empowers individuals to make rational choices by providing
them with a deeper understanding of economic principles. It equips them with the tools to
evaluate the costs and benefits of different options, whether it be personal finance decisions or
making choices in the labor market. By incorporating economic reasoning into decision-making,
individuals can make more informed and rational choices that align with their goals and
aspirations. As I reflect on my journey, I realize that applied economics is not confined to
academic settings alone. Its principles extend far beyond textbooks, shaping policies, businesses,
and individual choices. By utilizing the tools and concepts of applied economics, we can
navigate the complexities of our ever-changing economic landscape and work towards creating a
more prosperous and equitable society.
Learning Applied Economics is good because it teaches us on how we can apply our
knowledge about how we can help our economy grow also it teaches us what to do to maintain a
good economy
PRE CAL G12

In this subject is kinda difficult for me but challenging, Pre Calculus I learned about the 4
conic sections which are the Circle, Hyperbola, Ellipse and the Parabola and their standard form
so in Circle the standard form is x²+y²=r², in Hyperbola the standard form centered (0,0) is x²/ a²
- y²/ b² = 1 and when the vertex is (h, k) it is (x + h)/ a² - (y + k)/ b² =1, in Ellipse the standard
form centered (0,0) is x²/a² + y²/ b² = 1 and if standard form is vertex (h , k) it is (x+ h)²/ a² + (y +
k)² / b² = 1, in Parabola the standard form is vertex (h , k) it is y=a(x-h)² +k or x=a(y-k)²+h and it
is centered (0,0) it is y²=4ax or x²=4ay.

In precalculus lessons, I’ve found that it’s not just about mastering formulas and
techniques but also about understanding the underlying concepts and their real-world
applications. Through lessons on the four conic sections, I’ve learned how these mathematical
principles interconnect and contribute to solving complex problems. Additionally, precalculus
has taught me the importance of practice and perseverance in mastering mathematical concepts.
Overall, the subject has provided me with a solid foundation for tackling more advanced
mathematical topics.
GENERAL MATHEMATICS

I have learned that General Mathematics aims to understanding of concepts and techniques
drawn from number and algebra, trigonometry and world geometry, sequences, finance,
networks and decision mathematics and statistics, in order to solve applied problems. In the topic
of Inverse one-to-one functions, I have learned that a function has to be one-to-one for it to have
an inverse. There are many ways to determine if a function is a one-to-one function or not. A few
examples of ways to determine it may be through using a horizontal line test, a vertical line test,
or looking through the values of x and y. Once a function is determined to be one-to-one, it has
an inverse function. This fact amazes me because the values of x in the original function become
the values of y in the inverse function and the values of y in the original function become the
values of x in the inverse function, which is why it was called an inverse. I had a few difficulties
in determining if the functions were one-to-one but I have also realized that the easiest way of
determining it is by graphing it or looking at the graph of the original function. If the horizontal
lines of the graph do not intersect. The difficult thing is the part where you find the points of the
graph because you would then have to solve for the coordinates unless it is given and stated.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION 12

In grade 12, physical education (PE) takes on a deeper significance as students approach
the end of their high school journey. This course offers not only the opportunity to improve
physical fitness but also to develop crucial life skills. Through activities like team sports,
individual fitness challenges, and health education, students learn the value of perseverance,
teamwork, and resilience. Moreover, PE fosters a sense of responsibility towards one’s own
health and well-being, promoting lifelong habits of exercise and self-care.

Grade 12 PE often includes more advanced physical activities and in-depth discussions
about topics such as nutrition, mental health, and the importance of regular exercise. This
approach equips students with knowledge and skills that extend beyond the classroom, preparing
them to lead healthy, active lives. Overall, in grade 12, PE serves as a platform for personal
growth, encouraging students to embrace a balanced lifestyle and prioritize their physical and
mental health.

In our PE, we are able to perform modern dance, hip-hop dance, contemporary dance, and
folkdance, and we are also learning about physical education, which is very interesting.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
We have learned that Entrepreneurs play an important role in developing the Economy
through providing the needed products and services including the Solution to the problem of
unemployment. The word “entrepreneur” was Derived from the French verb which means “to
undertake.” We also learned what are the different types of entrepreneur, Career opportunities of
entrepreneur. The Creation of an entrepreneurial idea leads to the identification of entrepreneurial
Opportunities, which in turn results in the opening of an entrepreneurial Venture. We also know
what are the Entrepreneurial Process of Creating a Venture, What are the 7ps of marketing mix,
the 5 M’s of production and the Components found on Business Plan.
Entrepreneurship yields insights that can shape ones journey, for me it’s a very essential
to learn more about this subject, I really gained a lot of knowledge in business and best
experiences for us it that I learned how to manage and set up even if in a small business it was
very great experiences because we are given a chance to sell a product and manage it really I
gained a lot of ideas in managing business. Entrepreneurship involves taking risks, but it also
requires prudent risk management. Learning to assess, mitigate, and navigate risks intelligently is
a valuable lesson.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION (2nd Sem)

When I think back on the second semester of physical education in grade 11, I can see
how important this time has been for improving my knowledge of health-related issues as well as
my physical skills. Cardiovascular fitness was the first topic of the semester, which improved my
endurance and taught me the value of consistent exercise for heart health. Taking part in a variety
of exercises, such as circuit training and running, offered a well-rounded strategy for raising
general fitness levels.

In addition, team sports like soccer and basketball promoted vital cooperation abilities
and sportsmanship. Not only did learning how to work well in a team help me in these sports, but
it also helped me in other areas of my academic and personal life.

The curriculum’s theoretical sections also covered subjects including injury prevention,
nutrition, and the advantages of leading an active lifestyle. Knowing the science underlying
physical activity and how it affects general well-being has given me the confidence to make
decisions about my health that are well-informed.

Overall, the second semester of physical education in grade 11 has been very helpful in
improving both my physical and mental capacities, emphasizing the value of living a healthy
lifestyle. Without a doubt, these encounters will lay the groundwork for future development and
wellbeing outside of the classroom.
DISS

In this subject, Discipline in Social Sciences, I realized that there are many different
aspects of the social science disciplines of anthropology, economics, sociology, political science,
history, criminology, psychology, geography, and communication studies. By illuminating how
people behave within their many cultural contexts—past and present, individually or in groups,
as well as national and international geopolitical contexts—these disciplines aim to empower
people as democratic participants in a world that is changing quickly. The social science
disciplines provide a thorough grasp of society and how its people interact with one another both
individually and collectively. In addition to concentrating on a particular stage or aspect of
human society, the disciplines also research all subjects related to social behavior, institutions,
and functioning.

Overall, social sciences are more specialized and focused on a particular component of a
social phenomenon, whereas applied social science attempts to focus on a specific issue while
pulling ideas from several social scientific fields. Although social science may thoroughly
explore its numerous domains, some of their discoveries may be immediately useful, while
others may remain speculative.
deskriptibo, at persuweysib.

STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY

In this subject Statistics and Probability in Grade 11 has been an eye-opening experience
to me, it gives me with valuable skills that extend far beyond the classroom. As I delved into the
realm of data analysis and probability theory, I realized the profound impact these concepts have
on our daily lives. One of my realizations was understanding the importance of statistical
literacy. In a world inundated with information, being able to critically analyze data and interpret
results is very important. In learning Statistics and Probability it has reshaped my perspective on
uncertainty. From predicting outcomes in games of chance to understanding risk in various
scenarios.

Also in learning statistics and probability it helps me enhanced my problem-solving

skills. By applying mathematical concepts to real-world problems, I’ve developed a more
analytical mindset and my ability to tackle complex problems systematically. And in learning
statistics and probability has sparked my curiosity about the underlying patterns .

Studying statistics and probability in Grade 11 has been a transformative experience for
me, equipping me with essential skills, fostering a deeper understanding of the world, and
igniting a passion for inquiry and discovery. As I continue my academic journey, I look forward
to further exploring the fascinating problem of mathematics, statistics, and probability.
UNDERSTANDING CULTURE
Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics uses multi disciplinal insights from
anthropology, political science, and sociology to develop student awareness of cultural, social,
and political dynamics and sensitivity to cultural diversity. .understanding culture, society, and
politics is a lifelong pursuit that requires an open mind and a willingness to learn and grow.
Understanding, Culture, Society, and Politics is a multidisciplinary course that integrates and
combines the contents, methods, and theories of. Political Science. UCSP is a very interesting
subject because of diverse lessons in it like psychology, history, human evolution, economics,
geography, history, antropology and a lot more which is very interesting and difficult at the same
time. Understanding culture, society and politics has been one roller coaster ride that never went
down for me, despite of the fact that my first impression of the subject was that it would like
watching paint dry. The country’s’ well-being can also be seen in its societies. Politicsit is best to
be a wise citizen in a world full of deceptions and empty promises. Culture, Society, and Politics.
Understanding the Culture, Society, and Politics plays a pivotal role in broadening educational
horizons. As a multidisciplinary course, it delves into the intricacies of human societies, fostering
a nuanced understanding of cultural, societal, and political dynamics. This holistic approach
encourages students to transcend the boundaries of their specific disciplines, promoting a well-
rounded perspective essential for navigating the complexities of the modern world.
PHYSICAL SCIENCE
I learned how to recognize a noble gas. The periodic table is composed of multiple
elements. There are the metals, the non-metals, and the noble gases. The noble gases are: helium,
neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon. They are located on the last group (18) on the periodic
table. Even someone that hasn’t taken any science classes can tell that those are the noble gases
by looking at the periodic table, but they do not know what are the actual characteristics of a
noble gas. Noble gases are the least reactive elements. They rarely tend to gain or lose electrons
because they are balanced.
EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY

My reflection about Empowerment Technologies it widens my knowledge and perception in

technologies today. Empowerment technologies was such as a hard and difficult subject for me.

I learned that Empowerment Technologies often deals with the use of different technologies
such as mobile phones, telephone, computer and other devices to locate, save communicate and
to inform. Empowerment technologies is a great idea for students like me, to learn better,
understand better and to socialize. Using technology is very convenient and it is easy to use and
you get Faster information, it is very applicable in education. As a student, I learn better by using
technology and empowerment technology is teaching us the way of using technology it gives us
information how to be more responsible of using it for good intention and that is by education.

As we all know technology is very helpful in today’s society but also because of this use are
slowly in our own destruction. Always remember this, “Think before you click” because you
have the key to your success.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION 12

In grade 12, physical education (PE) takes on a deeper significance as students approach

mental health.

In our PE, we are able to perform modern dance, hip-hop dance, contemporary dance, and
folkdance, and we are also learning about physical education, which is very interesting.
PRACTICAL RESEARCH l

In Practical Research (PR l) I've learned, that the essential method for bridging the gap
between theory and practical application is practical research. I now have a greater understanding
of the difficulties involved in carrying out empirical research and the need of converting findings
into useful insights as a result of my involvement with practical research.

The topics we covered in our Practical Research 1 session included the introduction, the
study's background, the statement of the null hypothesis, the study's significance, its scope and
limitations, research methodology, statistical analysis of the data, definitions of terms, and
references. These topics have equipped me with the knowledge I need to conduct Practical
Research II.
Additionally, in our PR, I learned about the two (2) types of research: quantitative
research and qualitative research. Quantitative research focuses more on numbers or numerical
data and uses questionnaires to conduct surveys, whereas qualitative research emphasizes words
and interviews with respondents.

And also I learned about the Designs of Quantitative Research, First is the Descriptive design it
is the method use to investigate in educational research and Descriptive design is classified into
six(6) the Descriptive survey which it provides value of facts and focusing on the attention in
important things to be reported, followed by discriptive-normative survey which it is use to
compare local test results with the state or national norm, followed by Descriptive documentary
it is the type use when data cannot be obtain through questionnaires or observation, followed by
descriptive comparative it is use to compare and contrast representative samples, followed by
descriptive correlational it is use to investigate the direction and magnitude of relationship
among variables and last is the Descriptive evaluative it involves in making judgement of worth
and value and it can be formative- the process or summative - it is the outcome

MEDIA AND INFORMATION LITERACY

Information literacy is one of the subject that gives as chance to enhance our skill in terms of
information gathering through media. Empowers people to think critically about information and
use of digital tools. It helps people make informed choices about how they participate in peace
building, equality, Freedom of expression, access to information, and sustainable development.
Literacy is always associated with a ret of tangible skills, particurly the skills of writing and
reading.

Information literacy is an important skill in life. When you are information literate, you are
able to evaluate what information you need, what to discard, and how to we the information you
selected.

In this subject we also tackle about verbal and non-verbal communication. Verbal is the sign
of words there are two types of verbal. First is the oral communication by talking personally OF
Face to face. Second is written communication by chatting on messengers or to communicate in
the instagram by chatting. Verbal is very important to us to communicate a person you love,
Friends and family. Non-verbal is important too. In this Subject I want to learn more for the
future.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

In this subject Personal Development I learned about Self Concept, the Three (3)
different parts of self concept and the Benefits of Self Concept.
Self concept it is the way people think about themselves also it is our individual
perceptions of out behavior, abilities and unique characteristics and Self Concept there are three
different parts according to Humanist Psychologist Cal Roger, Self Image or how we see
yourself and self image doesn’t necessarily coincide with reality. Self esteem or how much you
value yourself and Ideal Self it is how you wish you could be.

Also I learned about the 7 Benefits of Self Concept, the Happiness it is considered as a
benefit because you will be happier when you can express who you are. Followed by Less inner
conflict, Better decision making, Self control, Resistance and Social Pressure, Tolerance and

WORLD RELIGION

I have learned about world religion in a personal sense, but I’m programmed to have
knowledge on this matter. World religion is a vast and intricate topic that has spanned the
existence of humanity. World religion and belief system I learned about confucianism, Taoism,
Shintoism, and daoism. These belief offer unique perspectives on life, society, and spirituality.
Confucianism emphasis on moral cultivation and society harmony that provides valuable insight
into ethical living and interpersonal relationships. Taoism focus on harmony with nature and the
concept of Wu Wei reminds ur of the important of balance the simplicity in our lives. Shintoism
reverence for nature and ancestors talks about the interconnectedness of all beings and the
important of rituals in honoring them. Daoism philosophical exploration of the dao encourages
us to embrace spontaneity and flow, guiding us towards a more effortless existence. There Is also
different parts of the world like Hinduism, Buddhism and its major branches, Islam, Jainism,
Sikhism, Shintoism, Daoism, Confucianism, Judaism, and others. To some people, religion is a
way of life, while others see it as a personal connection to a higher power. Religions provide
rules and guidelines for how people should behave, dress, and interact with others. Also the
lesson we learning about world religion is the emphasis on spirituality, morality, and ethics.
Religion is a means for people to understand their role in the world, develop a sense of morality
and ethics, and strive to live a righteous life. Most religions purport a shared belief in good and
evil, and their followers are encouraged to behave in an ethical manner and aid in the welfare of
others.
Gen Bio
General Biology serves as a foundational course that delves into the complexities of life,
exploring everything from the microscopic structures of cells to the intricate processes that
sustain living organisms. Reflecting on this subject reveals both the challenges and rewards
associated with understanding biological concepts. Despite these challenges, engaging with the
material through hands-on experiments and discussions fosters a deeper understanding. Practical
applications of theoretical knowledge—such as observing cells under a microscope or
conducting experiments related to cellular respiration—help solidify concepts. Students often
express that these activities not only make learning more enjoyable but also enhance their
retention of complex ideas. The interactive nature of labs encourages critical thinking and
curiosity, essential components of scientific inquiry
Disaster risk is fundamentally determined by the interaction between three key
factors: hazard, exposure, and vulnerability. A hazard refers to a natural or anthropogenic
event that has the potential to cause harm, such as earthquakes, floods, or industrial accidents.
Exposure relates to the people, property, and systems that are at risk when such hazards occur.
Vulnerability reflects the susceptibility of these elements to harm based on social, economic, and
environmental conditions.
This interplay illustrates that disaster risk is not merely a function of the hazards themselves but
is deeply influenced by human factors. For instance, communities with inadequate infrastructure
or limited resources are more vulnerable to disasters, leading to higher risks and potentially
devastating impacts.
