Enhancing Students' Writing Skills through English Movies-Watching Reports; an
Improvement of Linguistic Competences
English writing learning is often considered boring and the most difficult lesson in other English
language learning. Because students have limitations such as different cultures, limited language
knowledge, and lack of reading. Therefore, this problem can be overcome in several ways, one
of which is by learning using films. Students can see the film actors speaking in English, making
examples of pronunciation in the use of English. Each student is asked to provide a report on
their responses to the film's storyline after watching the film and then collected. In addition to
English language skills, students can also hone their abilities in researching storylines in foreign
languages. After conducting research using qualitative methods, the results showed that learning
English using films greatly helped students' motivation to learn and train students' writing skills.

This article explains about learning to write English is often considered boring and the most
difficult lesson in learning English. Because students have limitations such as different cultures,
limited language knowledge, and lack of reading. Therefore this problem can be overcome with
some one way is by learning using animated films according to the genre. After conducting
research using qualitative methods, the results showed that learning English using animated
films greatly helped students' motivation to learn and train students' writing skills .
SYNTHESIS
These two articles explains that the benefits of audio visuals in learning English are very good,
the learning method using audio visuals has been proven to increase student motivation in
learning English. With this study, it is proven that student development in terms of reading,
speaking, and writing has increased significantly. Students are more interested in learning using
audio and visual methods because they are easy to understand, remember and not boring. Then
this learning method is very flexible and can be relearned anytime and anywhere. With a
combination of visuals, motion, color, audio, and text, students can more easily understand
. lessons that were initially considered difficult to understand will be much easier to understand.
These two articles encourage teachers to have high creativity in teaching in order to provide a
fresh and comfortable atmosphere for students to learn.
