360 VIRTUAL INSPECTION CHECKLIST (HDB)

Version 1.0 (updated Apr 2024)

Noted the items are non-exclusive and QP is encouraged to attach more


documentation of compliance.

Residential Units
- QP to select one room type each to show compliance at each floor
- QP to include different room type for each floor

Main Entrance
S/N Clause Guide on what to inspect
01 2.2.3(a) Difference in levels between the floor of the entrance to the
7.2.3 unit and abutting common area must not be more than 50mm
02 7.2.2(b) On the push side, have a minimum space of 300mm adjacent
to the leading edge of the door
03 4.4.6.3 The leading edge of the door leaf must not be set more than
150mm from the wall surface
04 7.2.1 The doorway of the entrance must be 850mm minimum for a
single leaf door. If the doorway has two independently
operated door leaves, at least one active leaf must be a
minimum of 850mm
05 7.2.2(a) The manoeuvring space at the entrance must within the unit
have a minimum space of 450mm adjacent to the leading
edge of the door with a minimum clear floor space of 1250mm
by 1500mm deep
Interior Spaces
01 2.2.3(c) Switches and sockets outlets must be provided at a height of
7.4.1 between 450mm and 1200mm from the floor level.
Note: The height of switches and socket outlets in the kitchen
of residential units are not required to comply with 7.4.1
Retrofit Bathroom
01 2.2.3(b) The width of the access route leading to the bathroom, or the
7.3.3 room where the bathroom is must be a minimum of 1000mm,
subject to the provisions in table 6
02 7.3.6 There must, preferable be no change in the level of the floor
surface at the doorway of the bathroom. If there is a change
in level, it must not be more than 25mm
03 7.3.7 Position of Water Closet from the nearest wall
Provision shall be made in the bathroom walls so as to allow
installation of safe use of grab bars with Clause 4.7.2
04 7.3.5(b) The bathroom must have a clear floor space of at least
