A teacher played a game in the class to introduce the chapter of coordinate

geometry. She used the desks of the students as positions and introduced the
topic with the understanding of various concepts. The class room is seen as

perpendicular lines passing through the middle of rows and columns and she

is standing on the intersection of these lines. Each desk takes one position and

the same way every consecutive desk takes one step more. This way the whole

class gets divided into four sections.Accordingly, each position of the desk gets

a position according to the coordinate geometry and each desk behaves as

coordinates.

Arjun eagerly awaited his annual visit to his Nani's house. It was a tradition he

cherished, spending time with his cousins, exploring the quaint village where

his grandmother lived. This year, they were in for a special treat—the village

fair had arrived.

Arjun and his cousins ventured into a lively fair and stumbled upon an

intriguing game stall. Here, the challenge was to toss three coins together and

await their fate. If all three coins showed heads , Arjun would win a teddy bear.

A single head among the coins guaranteed him a delicious chocolate. For the

most favorable outcome, where at most two heads appeared, Arjun would

take home a practical geometry box. However, the risk lay in the possibility of

all coins landing on tails, resulting in Arjun losing the game. The excitement

mounted with each toss, as they eagerly awaited the coins to determine their

prize at the fairground stall.

Based on the above information answer the following question:

a) Find the probability that Arjun wins a teddy bear. (1)

b) Find the probability that Arjun wins a chocolate. (1)

c) Find the probability that Arjun wins a geometry box.

OR

Find the probability that Arjun loses the game. (2)
