Polynomials
Monomial ~ a constant, a variable or the product of a constant with one
or more variables
Polynomial ~ a monomial or sum of monomials

Features of polynomial functions:


is the leading coefficient
~ All polynomials are continuous from negative
infinity to positive infinity
is the degree
~ All polynomials have graphs with smooth,
rounded turns (no sharp turns)
is the constant

exponents are whole #'s: 0,1,2,3,4. . .

Polynomial Functions are written in standard form when its


terms are written in descending order:
