Topic: The Pathway to a Secured Future
Bible Texts: Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of
peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Deuteronomy 28:1 “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD
thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy
God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”
I am always happy to be among the youths and I pray for you that today will be a change marker in your
life in the name of Jesus.
I pray that this day will be the day your destiny and desired future awaits in the name of Jesus.
Introduction;
We are in a corrupt and dysfunctional society today. A quick survey of our environment shows that we
are greatly plagued by a lack of understanding.
We are in a society where you find a doctor who undoubtedly knows that smoking is bad, but will not
only smoke, but persists in it to his own hurt and detriment.
Of a truth, such doctors possess the knowledge, but lack wisdom.
The same thing goes for a Christian youth who knows that living out of God’s plans for his or her life is
dangerous but continues anyways, such a person’s future will definitely be uncertain.
When you as a youth refuse to hearken unto God’s instructions for your life, your future will be
unsecured for your Father in heaven says He knows the plans He has for you and it is plans of a secured
future but only if you will hearken unto His instructions.
So my dearly beloved youths, I am going to expose to you today the secrets to having a secured future in
this dysfunctional world.
How to position yourself for a secured future:
To properly prepare and position yourself for a glorious and secured future, you must observe to do the
following:
1. See your future at a glance: John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will
guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall
he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
Envision your future with the help of the Holy Spirit . You need to have the picture of your future
permanently residing in your memory so that you can focus on it properly.
2. Believe totally in in the future you see: Proverbs 23:18 “For surely there is an end; And thine
expectation shall not be cut off.”
Believe in your glorious future, behave it, and you will ultimately secure it.
3. Acquire Knowledge: 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Read all the materials that will expose the whole truth of your desired future to you, have good
mentors that will help you get to your desired future.
Surround yourself with life instructors that would build you in righteousness. Identify those who
have succeeded in your chosen field and be humble enough to learn from them.
4. Acquire wisdom: Proverbs 23:23 “Buy the truth, and sell it not; Also wisdom, and instruction,
and understanding.”
I define wisdom as knowing what is required to be done and actually doing it.
5. Be a Cultivator of good fruits: Matthew 7:17-18 “Even so every good tree bringeth forth good
fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither
can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”
Cultivators are seed bearers. Produce good fruits. Develop a lifestyle that ensures that you do
not kill the opportunities that come your way.
6. Desist from wrong habits and attitudes: 1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth,
but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
Refuse to let anybody lure you into sin, don’t be fearful in standing upright, live life with caution
and move in a company of achievers who has the fear of God.
7. Finally, Pray and meditate on the word of God to know the prophetic position of your destiny:
Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for
then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Strive to know what God has written about you. Godly precepts will properly position you for a
secured future, you must also prioritize your spiritual life.
