Performance Enhanced Multi-Source Inverter For Hybrid
Energy Storage Systems In Electric Vechil Application
Date: 16/08/2023
ABSTRACT

Multisource inverters (MSIs), a new strategy for integrating energy and power sources in
applications for electric vehicles, have attracted a lot of interest, Such structures provide direct
control of dc sources without the use of either magnetic components or dc/dc converters which
decreases the weight and the power electronics interface's volume between the load and the
sources. Moreover, the absence of the magnetics results in a high power density and increased
efficiency, which other important characteristics of an MSI. This article suggests a new idea. A
high-voltage system with a three-phase MSI for integration and active control a low-voltage dc
source and a dc source. The suggested MSI architecture utilises fewer semiconductor chips at
the moment route in different operating modes.

However, the voltage is no longer set in an MSI structure. Thus, dependent on the value of the
reference speed, a combination of various voltage amplitudes can be given to the electric motor,
improving its performance in comparison to conventional systems with a set dc-link voltage.
