ATHLETICS
The competition shall be conducted under the International Athletic Federation Rules as
adopted from time to time by AFI unless otherwise modified in these rules.
i. For relay races, not more than one entry of four participants per event shall be accepted.
ii. Except for relay races, each club will be entitled to enter not more than two
competitorsper event.
iii. Changes, if any, should be intimated fifteen minutes before the start of the event.
iv. Lots for lanes will be drawn as soon as the first call is given.
v. In the standard track distribution of lanes and qualifying to subsequence round will
bedone as per standard rules for 100m, 200m, 400m run.
vi. The maximum number of events an athlete can participate will be decided later.
vii. The competition in the following event as shown in the Table-1 for both men and
women will be held. The corresponding points for Athletics Championship are also
indicated inTable-1.

viii. In case of relay events the points are twice the individual event as the relay events
havedouble weightage.
ix. In case of a tie for an individual event, points will be shared by both athletes and clubs
asshown in Table-2.

xii. The sum of total points secured in all the events in athletics by a club will
determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in Athletics.
xiii. If an athlete, after qualifying in heats, does not participate in the finals without giving a
valid reason, as per AFI rules, he/she may be debarred from the competition and will
not be considered for best athlete.
xiv. Best athlete for both Men and Women will be decided by the maximum number of
pointsobtained by an athlete in the athletics championship.
xv. In case of a tie for best athlete, the athlete who has broken the most number of
meetrecords would be declared winner. If the tie is still not broken, the award will be
shared.
BADMINTON
i. The competition shall be conducted under the Badminton World Federation(BWF)
rules.
ii. The order of events shall be as follows:
i. First Single [Men] / Second Single [Women] /First Double [Mixed] /
Third Single [Men] / Second Double [Men].
iii. Ties for matches will be shall be determined by the combined result of 3singles
and two doubles.
[Link] will be played in the best-of-three sets (each set of 21 points)
format.
i. Final will be played in the best-of-three sets (each set of 21 points)
format.
ii. Time gap for half-time in a set is 1 min, between the sets is 2 min,
between the matches is 5 min.
iii. If any team does not respond in the given time, the other team is
considered to be victorious in that particular game.
iv. NO EXTRA TIME WILL BE PROVIDED.

iv. Men: The number of players representing any club in a team should bea minimum of 4.
v. Women: The number of players representing any club in a team shouldbe a minimum
of 2.
vi. Only 1 Male player will be allowed to play 2 matches (1 Single and 1Double).
vii. No player will be playing more than 1 match (except 1 Male player asmentioned
above.)
viii. All the matches will be played with Yonex Mavis 350 Shuttles.
ix. A tie will be resolved by successively applying the following criteria:
a. Individual matches won/individual matches lost.
b. Games won by the team/games lost by the team.
c. Points for/Points against.
x. All those students who wish to participate in badminton MUST have non- marking (
badminton ) shoes, failing which you will not be allowed to play onthe court.
xi. No matches will be postponed, except under necessary conditions.
The umpires’ decision is the final decision.
BASKETBALL
i. Standard FIBA (International Basketball Federation) Rules will be followed.
ii. The game will be of 40 minutes duration with 10 minutes in each of the 4 quarters.
There will be a 2 minute break after each quarter and 5 minutes break for halftime
after Q2. In case of a tie, OT (Over Time) of 5 minutes will be provided. If the score is
still a tie, each team will receive 1 point each. The overall game sequence should be:
Q1 → 2 mins → Q2 → 5 mins → Q3 → 2 mins → Q4 → 2 mins → OT (if required)
iii. 2 points will be awarded for a win. 0 points for a loss, and 1 point to each of the
teams in case of a draw.
iv. A total of 6 timeouts of 1 minute duration will be allowed per team throughout the
entire game. No more than 2 timeouts can be used by a team in a quarter.
v. Individual foul limit is 5 fouls per player, after that he/she will be made to sit out the
whole game. A foul during shooting action will result in 2 free throws. Any other foul
will result in loss of possession. All fouls in the last 3 minutes of the game will be
considered intentional and result in 1 free throw and loss of possession.
vi. Each of the 4 clubs should mention the playing 5 before the start of a match.
Substitutes can be brought in anytime.
CHESS
i. Latest FIDE rules shall be followed throughout the tourney.
ii. The tournament is conducted as a mixed event (both men & women
combined).
iii. A total of four teams will participate in this tournament.
iv. Every team comprises of four players, including the captain, who will
determine the playing order of the four boards before the match.
v. During the league stage, every team will have two matches against eachof
the other teams. The final round will feature a face-off between the two
highest-ranking teams on the leaderboard.
vi. Time Format: 15+10 (rapid chess format), 15 min each for a player and
10 sec increment per move.
vii. Points distribution is as follows:
Win 1 point
Loss 0 points
Draw 0.5 point
viii. During a round, each team participates in four games, with an equal
distribution of two games played as white and two games played as
black(alternating between board positions 1-4).
ix. The selection of the first board color is determined randomly at the
commencement of the match.
x. In the event that the final match concludes with a tie, signifying equal
points, a decisive Armageddon match will take place. This match will
involve the top players from each team and will be of captain’s choice.
Armageddon Time format: 5+0 for white and 4+0 for black. White
must win the game for the victory. In case of draw or loss of white
willend in a loss for the white and black wins.
Note: No time increment per move in the armageddon round.
xi. No electronics were allowed during the match, players are not allowed to
talk to their teammates and requested to maintain silence during the
game.
CRICKET
The auction tournament will be a season-ball league-based tournament, played amongst the 4
clubs.
Rules
i. Each match in the league stage will be a 16-overs match, with each club playing every
other club twice during the league.
ii. The powerplay will consist of the first 5 overs of each innings. During the powerplay
only 2 fielders will be allowed outside the 30-yard circle.
iii. Each bowling lineup in the playing XI will consist of at least 5 bowlers
a. 1 bowler can bowl a maximum of 4 overs
b. 4 bowlers can bowl a maximum of 3 overs
iv. After the powerplay, no more than 5 fielders will be allowed outside the 30-yard.
v. All the major rules of ICC will be followed, including LBW (Leg Before Wicket).
vi. If the match results in a tie, A super over scenario will be considered for declaring the
winner.
vii. Every win will result in the club gaining a total of 2 points, and a loss with none.
viii. All the participants are expected to adhere to the principles of fair play, sportsmanship
and the spirit of the game.
ix. Each match will be officiated by well versed and qualified sportsmen as umpires.
x. The schedule of the tournament will be announced and provided to all clubs well in
advance.
xi. In any case of protests and disputes, the tournament committee’s decision will be held
as ultimate.
FOOTBALL
i. This will be a 9-a-side competition.
ii. Matches shall be played according to the FIFA rules as adopted from time to time by
the All-India Football Federation unless otherwise modified.
iii. The duration of each match shall be 60 minutes (30-10-30). There is no added injury
time. During the league stage, after the expiry of play-time, if the tie still persists, the
points shall be shared equally.
iv. Every club shall submit a list of players, not exceeding 14 for participating in the
tournament. Each team is allowed to make a maximum of 5 substitutions.
v. In the event of a draw in the final, two periods of extra time (10 minutes each, with a
5 minute break) will be included. There will be penalty shootout if the tie still
persists.
vi. The yellow cards given during the league stages will not be counted further in the
final. If a player gets suspended in the last league game, he can’t participate in the
final game.
vii. A team will be awarded 3 points for a win, 1 for draw, and zero points for a lost
match.
viii. In case of tie, goal differences (i.e. Goals FOR minus Goals AGAINST) of all the
matches played by the team shall be considered. If the tie still persists, the number
of goals ‘FOR’ throughout the tournament shall be considered: If tie still persists,
winner will be decided by toss/draw.
LAWN TENNIS
i. The rules of the International Tennis Federation as adopted from time to time by
the All India Lawn Tennis Association shall apply, unless otherwise modified.
ii. The order of the play shall be:
• Men’s Singles
• Mixed Doubles
• Women’s Singles
iii. The selected players for the matches will be submitted by the team captain before
the start of the match.
iv. To win a team has to win 2 out of three matches, if a team wins first 2 matches
then the third match won’t be played and the result will be declared.
v. The format of each match shall be as follows:
• Men’s Singles and Mixed Doubles will be a best of 3 sets consisting of 6 games
each
• Women’s Singles will be first to 7 games ( a player needs to win with a margin
of at least 2 games and in case of a 7-7 game score a tiebreak of 10 point shall
be played)
vi. Number of players representing a team should be a minimum of 2 and a maximum
of 3 for both male and female (A player can play only one match).
vii. Scoring system will be as per ITF rules and to settle a 6-6 set score a tie breaker
game of 7 points shall be played (in case of the third set a 10 point tie breaker
game is played instead).

viii. In between breaks
• A player in entitled to a 45 seconds break during the change of ends, i.e. after
every odd game and a 2 minutes break after a set.
• A player is entitled to a maximum of one toilet break of 5 minutes per match
(can only be taken after a set and after 7 games in case of women’s singles).
• In case of the women’s singles the player is entitled to a 45 seconds break
during the change of ends, i.e. after every odd game and 2 minutes break after
the first 7 games.
Note: The chair umpire’s decision is the final decision
TABLE TENNIS
i. The competition shall be conducted under the International Table Tennis
Federation (ITTF) rules.
ii. The order of events:
First Single [Men] / First Double [Mixed] / Second Single [Men] /Second
Double [Men]/Third Single [Women].
iii. Ties for matches will be shall be determined by the combined result of 3 singles
and two doubles.
iv. To win a team has to win 3 out of 5 matches, if a team wins first 3 matches then
remaining matches won’t be played and result will be declared.
v. [Link] will be played in the best-of-five sets (each set of 11 points) format.
a. During a match, a player is allowed to take a brief towel-off break
every 6Points.
b. Each player has one timeout per set lasting up to 1 min.
c. The time gap between two sets is 2 min and between two matches is 5
min.
d. Each player have to use TTFI approved TT rackets.
e. If any team does not respond in the given time, the other team is
considered to be victorious in that particular game.
vi. Number of players:
a. Men: The number of players representing any hostel in a team should be a
Minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 members.
b. Women: The number of players representing any hostel in a team should be a
minimum of 1 and maximum of 2 members.
vii. All those students who wish to participate in Table Tennis MUST have non-
marking( Table Tennis/Badminton ) shoes, failing which you will not be
allowed to play on the court.
The umpire’s decision is the final decision.
VOLLEYBALL
i. The rules of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) as adoptedfrom time to
time by the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) shall be followed for both Men and
Women, unless otherwise modified.
ii. Except there will be no player rotation but there will be serve rotation.
iii. Every Club can have a team of players not exceeding 12. (Minimum6 players)
iv. All the matches shall be played in the best of 5 sets and the last setwill be a 15-
points set, for all the stages
v. Any team refusing to play a match without justification will beeliminated
from the tournament.
vi. In case the match stops due to the rain, we will resume the matchwith the same
set score.

NOTE: REFEREE’S DECISION IS THE FINAL DECISION.
POWERLIFTING
i. The competition will comprise of squat, bench-press, and deadlift, and each participant
will be given three tries for each Compound Movements and the best attempt will be
considered.
ii. To declare winner in the listed weight categories we will follow IPF (International
Powerlifting Federation) Dots Scoring Method.
iii. The total score of a team will be equal to the total of the points scored by the
participants of that team.
iv. In case of tie in individual participants, the participants at the same rank will get equal
points.
v. In case of tie among the teams, the leading team will be decided on the bases of sum of
the points acquired by top two participants of the teams. If tie further persists, the
leading team will be decided on the bases of the points of the top participant of the
teams.
vi. Each group should have minimum three participants.
vii. Each group will be submitting a complete team list of participants before the weighing
on the first day, irrespective of whether the competition is being held on that day or
not.
viii. The progression after every successful attempt for the same powerlifter must be
minimum of 1 kg.
ix. The competitors are restricted from applying any oil or grease on their body at any
stage.
x. Points to individuals will be allotted in the order as:
I – 10 points
II – 9 points
And so on till
X– 1 point
