Notes
• The pattern is crocheted in spiral despite the pattern; so do not join at the end
of each round. Instead, use something to mark the first stitch of a round and
move it up as you work. Except for the body you may want to join the end of the
rounds to create the outline on the face.

• “Magic Circle” is used to start the rounds. If you do not prefer this technique, you
can start the round by using the following method: ch 2, then sc into the second
chain away from the hook.

• The pattern is crocheted in back loop only. If you do not prefer this technique,
you can also crochet in both loops, but please note that the size the final tsum
tsum may be slightly smaller.

• The pattern can be used with any weight yarn. Just use the recommended hook
size on the ball band. The size of the end result varies according to the yarn
weight you use. The pictures of the amigurumi done below are using the yarn as
stated in the ‘materials’ section.

• The pattern uses yarn with different colors. To simplify the reading of the pattern,
the text is written in different colors as indicated in the “materials” section. If you
see change in the text color, please change the yarn colors too. J

times, 1sc in the next 2 sts, col A, 1sc in the next st, sc2tog, 1sc in the next 3
sts, sc2tog.

Cut the flying yarns at the inner side of the body and neatly tie the yarn ends to
prevent from loosening. Begin stuffing the body.

Round 17: (1sc in the next 2 sts, sc2tog)*2 times, col B, (1sc in the next 2 sts, sc2tog)*3
times, 1sc in the next 2 sts, col A, sc2tog, 1sc in the next 2 sts, sc2tog.

Shield
This part is made by crocheting in joined round. Make a ch 1 in the Round Sts
beginning of each round, and sl stitch to the 1st st at the end of each R1 6
round.
R2 12
Round 1: with col A, sc 6 times in MC. R3 18

Round 2: 2sc in each sts. R4 24

Round 3: (1sc in the next st, 2sc in the following st)*6 times. R5 30

R6 36
Round 4: col C, (1sc in the next 2 sts, 2sc in the following st)*6 times.

Round 5: col D, (1sc in the next 3 sts, 2sc in the following st)*6 times.

Fasten off.

Make the 2nd piece but do not fasten off this time. Change to col C and join both
pieces on Round 6.

Round 6: col C, (1sc in the next 4 sts, 2sc in the following st)*6 times.

Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing. Cut white felt to shape a star and glue it on the
center of the shield.

Wings (make 2)
With col D, ch 4.

Row 1: {ch 5, sl the next 4 ch starting from 2nd ch from hook}, 1sc in the next st,

{ch 4, sl the next 3 ch starting from 2nd ch from hook}, 1sc in the next st,

{ch 3, sl the next 2 ch starting from 2nd ch from hook}, 1sc in the next 2 sts.

Fasten off.

Assemby
• Eyes: place safety eyes on the R11 of the body, placing them 6 sts apart.

• Nose: use peach embroidery floss to stitch back and forth at R12 of the body,
positioning it below the 2sts in col B.

• Ears: Fold the ears into half. Attach the ears at R9 ~ R12 of the body.

• Legs: Attach the legs at R15 ~ R17 of the body.

• Shield: Attach the shield at R8 ~ R12 of the body.

• Wings: Attach the wings at R7 of the body, positioning them slightly in front of the
ears.

• Symbol “A”: Cut white felt to shape the letter “A” and glue it on the forehead.
