a brief note on our approach to wine
here at 64 Goodge Street.
On the first page are a few Aperitifs—p.2 to get you going. If you’re
looking for some fizz, might we suggest our Crémant & Champagne—p.3 which
offers by the glass action alongside a carefully curated list of mature & very
food-friendly champagnes
Should you be looking for a Glass—p.4 & 5 (or a carafe) we have plenty
of options, from assiduously sourced house-pours to something more grand &
Burgundian
Then a selection of different Whites —p.6 separated into lighter & more
food-friendly styles before a similar number of Reds—p.9 first offering Summery
light-ish options & then more robust ‘bigger’ selections
You will see both White & Red sections also have entire pages of
carefully-sourced bottles from Burgundy, the most beguiling wine region we know
& a source of pleasure for all wine-lovers
On the last page, you’ll find our Cellar List—p.12 comprising special
bottles from some of the world’s best winemakers

cellar list.
here are two pages of bottles we have in small quantities, sourced from
(impeccably-preserved) private collections and lesser-known merchants
the first section is devoted to Burgundy - sometimes a slightly more
esoteric & mature selection than you will find on the main list - along
with 'en primeur' purchases now fully ready
in the subsequent ‘Rest of the World' section the aim is to offer wines
either with a certain quirkiness or a bit of age (or both!). We find
well-made wines with a certain maturity match our menu particularly
well - although if you’re looking for a vibrant, fruit-driven wine these
may not be for you (there are plenty on the preceding pages!)
