Your mindset is how
your beliefs influence
your behaviors,
relationships, and
reactions.
A mindset is a person’s
established rules, attitudes, and
world views.
A person’s mindset matters
because it supports
sound decision-making and
determines a point of view.
Values and attitudes
inform your mindset,
guiding how you
navigate problems and
interactions with others.
Positive mindsets (Growth
Mindsets) allow you to step
outside your comfort zone
and navigate challenging
situations.
Negative mindsets (Fixed
Mindsets), however, are
pessimistic: They feed
into self-doubt and negative
thoughts.
Is It Possible to
Change Your
Mindset?
A growth/ positive mindset is the belief
that abilities and intelligence can be
developed through effort and learning.
How to Change Your
Mindset:
5 Ways to Improve Mindset
(1) Engage in Self Reflection
Before embarking on a journey to change your mindset,
it's essential to understand where you currently stand.
Ask yourself questions like:
•How do I feel about my job/ my business?
•What are my main sources of work/business-related
stress?
•What aspects of work/business do I enjoy the most?
•Do I see my job/business as a means to an end, or do I
find purpose in it?
(2) Embrace change.
Changing your mindset may mean making new
friends, leaving a job, or moving to a new area,
leaving your church, your party, etc.
This can be complex, but if you embrace it, you
can come out on the other side stronger and
successful than before
(3) Set Goals.
A healthy mindset can make goals more
attainable, so write out what you want so you
can see it in print and act to work toward it.
Break down your goals into smaller,
accomplished steps, so you set yourself up for
success.
(4) Surround yourself with
positive people.
Friends and family who think positively will
prove necessary in changing your mindset.
If negative people surround you, their habits
will rub off on you and make self-
improvement more challenging.
(5) Identify Limiting Beliefs
Often, negative beliefs about work can hinder our professional
growth.
Recognize and challenge these limiting beliefs:
•"I'm stuck in this job/business forever."
•"I'll never get a promotion."
•"Work is just a way to pay the bills."
Replace these limiting beliefs with positive affirmations like:
•"I have the potential to excel in my career."
•"I can learn and grow in my current role."
•"Work is an opportunity for personal and professional
development."

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true,
whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever
is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is
admirable—if anything is excellent or
praiseworthy—think about such things.
