C-. ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS:

1. This is well understood by the example of the different ages for example when stone was widely
used to make tools and weapons that period was known as the stone age. Later , as humans
learnt to make and use bronze tools the period was known as the bronze age. And finally in the
iron age people learnt to use iron tools and weapons more than any other available materials.
2. The iron age refers to a period of time when people learnt to use iron for making tools and
weapons. It was a time when people started using iron more than any other materials available.
3. Iron was harder and could not be melted as it needed a much higher temperature than bronze.
So it was heated and hammered into shape. This repeated heating and hammering made iron
tools stronger than bronze tools.
4. The surplus food production led to trade goods and food were exchanged between places. The
use of money began. It also gave rise to different kinds of occupations.
5. Weapons such as swords , daggers and arrowheads were made in the iron age.
