OBJECTIVES:
- to revise lexical units on the theme “seasons”;
- to read the text about seasons;
- to practice the use of present simple ;
- to listen to the song about seasons for specific information;
- to speak about pupil’s favouritre seasons;
- to develop skills of reading and listening;
THE PROCEDURE OF THE LESSON:
I. GREETING: Good morning pupils.
Are the lights on?
Yes, they are.
(Is the sun shining?
Yes, it is.)
Is the board ready?
Yes it is.
Are the pupils here?
Yes, they (we) are.
Is the teacher here?
Yes, she is.
Is it time to begin?
Yes, it is.
as you can see honourable guests are present at our today’s lesson. Let’s say good
morning to them.
II. WARMING-UP: Hot potato :
Catch the ball and say any weather word you know. How’s the weather today?
III. TELLING THE THEME: The theme of our lesson is “Seasons and Weather”.

V. READING: your home task was to read and translate the rhyme about four seasons.
Let’s read it one by one.
In March the birds begin to sing.
They are happy now it's spring.
In April blue skies come again.

There's sometimes sun and sometimes rain.
In May it's warm and we can play
Out in the sunshine every day.
In June the days are hot and bright
And stars shine in the sky of night.
In July we feel so free

In August we're on holiday.
Summer is the time to play!

Fall from all the autumn trees.

And we can't play out in the park.
In December Christmas comes.

In January it sometimes snows.
The days are short, the cold wind blows.

Are black and brown; there are no leaves
