RENEWABLE ENERGY

ADOPTION
WHAT IS RENEWABLE ENERGY?
It is energy derived from natural sources that are replenished at a higher
rate than they are consumed

• India has an adding energy demand to fulfill the
profitable development plans that are being enforced.

• The sources of electricity product similar as coal, oil

painting, and natural gas have contributed to one- third
of global hothouse gas emigrations. It's essential to
raise the standard of living by furnishing cleaner and
further dependable electricity.

• It's apparent that clean energy is less dangerous and

frequently cheaper.
TYPES OF RENEWABLE RESOURSES
THERE ARE MANY TYPES OF RE , SOME OF THEM ARE

• WIND POWER
• HYDROPOWER
• BIOMASS
• ELECTRICITY
• SOLAR ENERGY
• NUCLEAR ENERGY

pros and cons of RE
pros cons
• RE won’t runout • it has high upfront cost
• RE has lower maintenance • it is intermitten
• it saves money
• it have limited storage
• has numerous environment capabilitie
bene ts

• lower reliance of foreign • it have geographic limitation

energy sources
• aren’t always 100% carbon free

2030 TARGET OF INDIA IN RENEWABLE ENERGY

India has target of having 500GW of installed renewable energy by 2030

to bring in a inexperienced revolution within the country, the

government has set an ambitious goal of having 500 GW of
mounted renewable electricity through 2030, which includes the
installation of 280 GW of solar power , 140 GW of wind energy.

lets see what were the targets and achievement of past few
years

• Government of India also have
targeted to become net zero carbon
emitter by 2070 103.05 GW
• to produce 150GW from solar energy share of renewable energy in
by 2024 electricity installed capacity

CHALLENGES

• some of the natural sources like solar, wind , tidal and geothermal have lot of
potential to create more energy than the world right now needed. but this
potential to create does not match what we have achieved till now.

• challenge - capture the energy

- transport the energy
