RADIO DRAMA GUIDELINES
1. Contestants should present an original radio drama over a simulated or actual radio station. The
script must follow the Annex A sample format.
2. No more than five (5) radio talents and/or student technicians may be involved.
3. Contestants may portray multiple characters behind a curtain.
4. The drama must convey a moral or character-building theme on youth, family, unity, and values
that is connected to our theme DULAY: Dunong tungo sa Paglaya
5. The radio drama should be suitable for general listeners. Please strictly follow the ethics on KBP
Radio Code.
6. Background music and canned sound effects may be used.
7. Five (5) copies of the script must be submitted to the CONTEST HEAD MASTER BEFORE THE BIG
EVENT.
8. Performance time is ten (10) minutes maximum. For an over time, the contestant will receive a
0.5-point deduction for any portion of thirty (30) second increments outside the allotted time.
(For example, a performance timed at 10:01 would receive a half-point deduction by the
tabulator from the total score per judge. A performance of 10:31 would receive a deduction of a
full point from the total score per judge.)
9. All equipment and sound effects must be provided by the participants. Host will only provide
sound system.
10. The medium of language to be used will either be English or Filipino or a combination of both.
Lines should be live and may not be memorized.
11. Maximum set up time is five minutes.
12. Judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.
13. Strictly no late (15 minutes will be considered disqualified)
