Lamination is the technique of
manufacturing a material in multiple layers,
so that the composite material achieves
improved strength, stability, sound
insulation, appearance or other properties
from the use of differing materials. A
laminate is a permanently assembled object
by heat, pressure, welding, or adhesives
PROCESS:
There are different lamination processes,
depending on the type of materials to be
laminated. The materials used in laminates can be
the same or different, depending on the processes
and the object to be laminated. An example of the
type of laminate using different materials would be
the application of a layer of plastic film—the
"laminate"—on either side of a sheet of glass—the

TYPES OF LAMINATES
“ INDUSTRIAL LAMINATES –These have higher strength
and are more resistant to wear and tear. They include
high-performance laminates which are fire retardant,
antibacterial and chemical resistant for application in
hospitals and other
industries.
COMPACT LAMINATES – These fairly thick ones are
self-
supporting and do not need to be glued to any other
material.
TYPES OF LAMINATES
POST FORMED LAMINATES – These flexible
versions are thinner than regular laminates. They are
used to wrap around tables, columns etc.
HIGH PRESSURE AND LOW PRESSURE
LAMINATES– Differing only in the pressure with
which the laminate is applied on a substrate, HPL is
usually used with plywood while LPL finds its use with
MDF
.

Requirement:
The client was coming up with premium apartments and was looking for solutions that
exude luxury, while ensuring functionality and durability. The client was also looking
for suitable wooden flooring for their apartments and also sports solutions for their
clubhouse which houses facilities like badminton court, multipurpose court, yoga
room, gym, table tennis, billiards.
Keeping in mind the clients requirement, we suggested the design concept of double
width plank laminate flooring called Infinite.
Honey oak and coffee oak product is this series are the widest plank in the laminate
wood flooring. Their high durability and scratch resistance was well appreciated. The
product comes with beveled edge and silicon treated edges.
These floorings ensure the users do not get hurt and also do not impact the sports
performance of the players as they are a point- elastic surface.
