MAT235 Engineering Mathematics I Finding Inverse Matrix by Gauss Jordan Elimination
One can obtain the inverse of a matrix by Gauss-Jordan Method. To that
end, an identity matrix should be placed to the right of this matrix first.
The row reduced echelon matrix equivalent to the new matrix should be
found by elementary row operations. If the identity matrix appears in the
left block, the matrix on the right becomes the inverse.
Example
Find the inverse of the following matrix.
1 0 1
2 0 −2
0 1 1
