Main contactor control
With the BiCo-signal wiring as defaulted the main contactor
control serves identically as main contactor feedback.

Brake control
Basic brake control
- for holding brakes only
Extended brake control
- start of the drive against closed brake
- possible use as emergency brake
(brake closes with OFF3)

Restart on the fly
“restart on the fly“ enables the converter to be switched on while the motor is running
- because it is still coasting
- because of external mechanical power acting on the motor (i.e. fan in piping network).
As response to the on command a frequency matching the actual speed is set; after synchronizing the torque
is enabled and the drive accelerates to the speed setpoint.
In sensorless operation (SLVC) the actual speed is identified automatically by forcing a search current.

V.DC-max-limiting controller (V.DC-controller)
An automatic adaptation of the
deceleration ramp provides
regenerative energy only to the
extent of maintaining a factory
set level of DC-link voltage.

Automation and Drives
Power ride through (V.DC-controller)
The function power ride through forces the drive to regenerative operation. Using the kinetic energy of the rotating masses
the energy fed to the DC-link covers up for internal losses and keeps the drive in operation (short time loss of line supply).

If power blocks are operated “in parallel”, operation can be continued with even one of them available only.
Requirement: the DRIVE CLiQ wirings of the respective power blocks are star connected.

REMOVAL In de-energized condition physically remove “drive 1“ and adapt the DRIVE-CLiQ wiring accordingly
After Power ON “drive 1“ is specified as “not ready for operation“
Alarm messages: “component missing“ and “BiCo-connections to deactivated objects“
Save the BiCo-connections mentioned via p9495_Antrieb1 = 1
Deactivate drive object “drive 1” via p0105_Antrieb1 = 0
Copy RAM Æ ROM / 24 VDC off, on
INSTALLATION In de-energized condition physically install “drive 1“ and adapt the DRIVE-CLiQ wiring accordingly
After Power ON the new serial number of “drive 1“ is copied to the set-topology (if p9909=1)
Alarm messages: “Object inactive, ready for operation“ and “interrupted BiCo-connection available“
Activate drive object “drive 1” with p0105_Antrieb1 = 1
Recreate the BiCo-connections with p9496_Antrieb1 = 1 / copy RAM Æ ROM / 24 VDC off, on

Changeover to different motors
selection DDS2

- disable pulses
- deselect DDS0
enable pulses
activate DDS 2
MDS4
SEQUENCE The request of a new drive data set disables the pulses (p0820, 0821)
The internal deselection of the current drive data set de-energizes motor contactor K4 (r0830)
The feedback “contactor de-energized“ activates the requested data set and energizes K1 (r0830)
After the feedback “contactor K1 energized“ pulses are enabled
For a changeover onto a running motor the function “on the fly“ has to be activated (p1200)

If an axis is parked (BiCo-source=p0897) the power section and all
encoders assigned to motor control are deactivated
The DRIVE-CLiQ connections run through the deactivated power section
and the encoder systems not assigned to motor control remain active
If an encoder is parked (p0145=0) only this particular encoder is
deactivated; the monitoring of the assigned power section remains active
