GLOBAL INDICATORS IMPORTANT NOTES

There are total 10 different Global Indicators and they are listed as follows:

1. WH - WESTERN HEMISPHERE
2. EH - EASTERN HEMISPHERE
3. AT - ATLANTIC
4. PA - PACIFIC
5. AP - ATLANTIC PACIFIC

6. PN - PACIFIC NORTH
7. SA - SOUTH ATLANTIC
8. TS - TRANS SIBERIAN
9. RU - RUSSIAN UNION
10. FE - FAR EAST

NOTE: First 5 GI's listed above are TC area specific and from 6th to 10th Global Indicators are
sub-area specific.

1. WH - Western Hemisphere:
● When Travel is wholly within TC Area 1 it is known as WH journey.
E.g.
A. YVR-LIM
B. RIO-MIA

2. EH - Eastern Hemisphere has three parts:

● Part 1 - When travel is wholly within TC Area 2 it is known as EH.


E.g.
a. PAR - FRA - ATH
b. IST - ZRH - LON

● Part 2 - When travel is wholly within TC Area 3 it is still known as EH


E.g.
a. BOM - SIN - TYO
b. SYD - HKG - MLE

● Part 3 - When travel is between TC 2 and TC 3 v.v. It is classified as EH as well.


E.g.
a. BJS - IST - DUB
b. KWI - DEL - SEL

3. AT - Atlantic
● When travel is between TC Area 1 and TC Area 2 or TC 1 to TC 3 via TC 2 crossing over the
Atlantic Ocean it is known as AT Journey.
E.g.
a. CHI - LON - CMB
b. ROM - LIS - MEX
c. DAC - DXB - YTO
d. DEL-SFO or BOM-YTO

4. PA - Pacific
● When travel is between TC Area 3 and TC Area 1 v.v. or from TC Area 1 and TC Area 2 via TC
3 crossing the Pacific Ocean it's known as PA journey.
E.g.
a. BJS - YTO
b. JKT - MNL - LAX
c. SCL - SYD
d. RUH - SEL - YVR
e. SFO - SIN - ROM

5. AP - Atlantic Pacific
● When travel is between TC 2 to TC 3 via TC 1 or TC 1 to TC 3 via TC 2 crossing both the
Atlantic and Pacific Ocean is known as AP.
E.g.
a. JED - MIA - SIN
b. SHA - SFO - FRA
c. LAX - FRA - OSA - LAX

6. SA - South Atlantic
● When travel is between TC Area 3 i.e. South East Asia(S.E.A) / South Asian Subcontinent
(S.A.S.C) and TC Area 1 i.e. South Atlantic (SATL) Sub-area, only via Central Africa/Southern
Africa/Indian Ocean Islands in TC Area 2 (Africa) is classified as SA journey.
E.g.
a. BOM - JNB - SAO
b. HKG - CPT - RIO
c. BUE - MRU - CMB - SIN

7. PN - Pacific North
● Transpacific travel between South West Pacific (S.W.P) in TC Area 3 and
South America (SA) in TC 1 via North America (NA) in TC 1 but NOT via
North/Central Pacific Sub-area, it is classified as PN journey.
E.g.
a. SCL - SFO - AKL
b. SYD - LAX - SAO
c. PER - KUL - YVR - RIO (NOT PN)

8. TS - Trans-Siberian

There are two parts in TS:

● TS PART 1 - When travel is between TC 2 (except Russia in Europe) and TC Area 3 only for
routings with non-stop services between Europe (TC 2) & JAPKOR (TC 3).
E.g.
a. TYO - MAD - LIS
b. AMS - IST - SEL
c. CAS - ATH - OSA - BNE

● TS PART 2 - When travel is between Russia in Europe (TC2) and TC Area 3 only for
routings with non-stop services between Europe and JAPKOR via another country in
Europe.
E.g.
a. MOW - IST - TYO - HKG
b. LED - STO - MOW - SEL
c. OSA - MOW - LON

9. RU - Russian Union

● When travel is between Russia in Europe and TC 3 only for routings with non-stop services
between Europe and JAPKOR NOT via another country in Europe. Journey should start or
end in Russia (West of Urals) in TC 2.
E.g.
a. MOW - TYO - HKG
b. LED - MOW - SEL
c. FNJ - MOW
d. DEL - OSA - MOW - LED

10. FE - Far East
● When travel is between Russia(West of Urals)/Ukraine in Europe TC 2 and
TC 3 only for routings with non-stop services between Russia (West of
Urals)/Ukraine TC 2 to TC 3 other than JAPKOR.
E.g.
a. MOW - HKG - TYO
b. IEV - MOW - KHV
c. BKK - IEV
d. LED - BJS - SYD
e. CMB - BOM - ODS

RUSSIAN POINTS:
● MOW - MOSCOW
● LED - ST. PETERSBURG

AND

UKRAINIAN POINTS:
● IEV - KIEV
● ODS - ODESSA
