I – Introduction
About Specialized Oilfield Products
Company was formed as a Joint Venture between UAE Nationals and Lee Specialties Canada in 2004
and known as LEE SPECIALTIES MIDDLE EAST LLC (LSME). In 2007 Management of the company
bought the 100% shares of Lee Specialties Canada and SPECIALIZED OILFIELD PRODUCTS was
formed as wholly owned strategic business unit, retaining and augmenting the existing staff of LSME.
Since its inception the company has been strengthened further with investments both in
infrastructure, human resource and R&D, which allows us to cater 1st class quality products, built to

SLICKLINE WIRE SPOOLER UNIT
GENERAL:
Following is the Technical Specification of a Slickline Spooling Unit composed of 2 Skid Units:
• Diesel Engine Hydraulic Power Pack
• Slickline Spooler Unit
Both units are Skid mounted. Skids are made of Steel beams and plates with appropriate
treatment against corrosion.
Skid frame has four lifting points for crane handling & includes integral forklift pockets for easy
ground handling. Pad eyes design complies with DNV 2.7-1 standard.

III. WIRE SPOOLING SKID
Spolling unit is designed to transfer Slikline wire from commercial reels to Slickline Unit drum
mounted on Slickline Unit.

GENERAL:
• Slickline Spooling unit is constructed with steel tubing.
• Spooling operation of spooler is done by onboard open-loop diesel
• The hydraulically driven spooler accepts all 0.108” up to 7/32” Slickline wires on
shipping drums.
• (Note: A spacer tube is provided for use with the narrower drums).
• Spooling and wire tension during spool ON & OFF are controlled from a control panel
mounted on the side of the unit.
• The wire tension assembly traverses freely on sealed linear bearing. Tensioning is done
by two brake bands acting on the circumference of the tensioning wheel. Braking is
controlled by means of a hand wheel in front of the tension head.

OPERATOR CONTROL PANEL
The operator console is built with stainless steel machine engraved English letters color coded
and is equipped with:
• Hydraulic system pressure gauge 0 - 3,000 psi.
• Wireline line pull/speed remote control valve (spare loose remote control c/w 50 ft
hose).
• Engine emergency stop switch.
• Hydraulic weight Indicator Martin Decker style gauge, 0 > 2,000 lbs with 100 ft hose is
mounted within the unit.
HAY PULLEY
One of each 16” hay pulley assembly loose supply for 0.092” and 7/32”.
LINE PULL
Depending upon the winch speed and the diameter of the layers onto which the cable is
spooled various wire line pull is obtainable.
Maximum line pull: 2,000 lbs

GENERAL:

Hydraulic power for driving spooler
hydraulic motor is from standalone diesel
engine driven hydraulic power pack.
• Power pack is fitted with Kubota
V3300 DI, 4 cylinder NA Diesel
Engine 60 hp @ 2,600 rpm.
• Power Pack starting is 12VDC
electric. Pneumatic starter also
available as per customer
requirement.
• Radiator and engine supporting
the hydraulic pumps are installed
on anti-vibration shockmounts
• Overspeed, water and oil
temperature are controlled during
functioning. Air inlet shuttle valve
and fuel inlet to engine pump will
be cut-off in case of over settings

➢ Power Pack performance test data will be issued in “FAT Report / Certificate of conformance”
during the time of testing the unit.
SIGNS & DECALS:
Where ever applicable signs & decals required will be placed.
➢ All reservoir capacity.
➢ Unit daily checklist.
➢ Starting procedure.
➢ Danger signs near rotating devices.
➢ All hoses will be tagged with the ID nos.
➢ SWL of the unit labeled on side and top of the unit.
➢ Placards as required during shipping etc.
PAINTING:
All steel materials are sandblasted to Sa 2 ½, inorganic zinc primer coated, epoxy sealer coat and
paint color shall be as per customer preference.
DOCUMENTATION:
Comprehensive Operations & Maintenance manual provided in hard and soft copy (Flash Drive)
for complete set in English language.
