Guidance to update Bank details
➢ Students selected to receive the scholarship should provide details of their active bank account
including Bank name, Branch Name, Account No., IFCS Code, Name of Account holder, and
upload the personalized cheque leaf (which contains the pre-printed name) or 1st page of bank
pass book stamped and signed by the Bank authority. Please note that stamp and signature of
the bank authority is mandatory.
➢ All students need to update their bank details immediately in the portal as per the given
instructions in Bank guidance document below.
➢ If you have submitted your bank details earlier and if they are not visible, please re-enter the
correct details.
Things to be noted:
• Bank Account should be in the scholarship holder’s name only and Bank details of anyone else
including parents or family members is NOT accepted.
• Minor students (those below the age of 18 years) need to have joint account with their parents
and the 1st name registered in the account should be the name of student.
• Joint accounts that have the parent name as the primary holder are not acceptable.
• Students need to ensure that their bank accounts do not having any transaction limit to receive
funds.
• The Bank Account should be active and not dormant.
• Please also ensure that the bank account is KYC complaint especially if you have recently
turned 18 years of age.
• Bank account should either be in any Nationalized or Private Bank and should not be held in a
co-operative bank having IFSC Code linked to any other bank.
• If you have not used your bank account or made any transactions recently or if you are unsure
of its status, it is strongly advised to please check the status of your bank account before
submitting the bank details to us to avoid delay in receiving the scholarship funds.
• You may also be aware about the mergers of Public Sector Banks in the last few years. We
request you to check with your bank having account with merged banks before submitting
your bank details to us there may be some changes in the NEFT/RTGS/IFSC Code or Account
Number or branch name post-merger. The Merged Banks are as follows:
i) All associate banks of State Bank merged with State Bank of India.
ii) Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank merged with bank of Baroda.
iii) Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India merged with Punjab National.
iv) Syndicate Bank merged with Canara Bank.
v) Allahabad Ban merged with Indian Bank.
vi) Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank merged with Union Bank of India.
Other banks not accepted:
• UCO Bank
• Kotak 811 Digital Bank account
• SBI Kiosk Bank
• Paytm Payments Bank
Very Important: Please note that once you have submitted your bank details and if your account
details are incorrect or needs any updates, making these changes will take up to 30 days. Hence
please review the details thoroughly before submitting them.
➢ How to Upload Bank details:
1. Log in to the scholarship portal using your log in credentials.

If you have forgotten your credentials, please use the forgot password options. Your username is
your registered email id
2. On the dashboard, kindly click on “Click here” to update bank details.
3. The following page will open and then kindly enter your Bank Name, Branch Name, Account
Number, IFSC Code (11 digits) and Account Holder Name as per your bank document. Also, you
need to upload the proof of your bank details:
