-An arrest occurs when a police officer takes someone into custody because they
are suspected of committing a crime.

apprehending a suspect?
-Police officers do not always have to say, "You are under arrest!" when
apprehending a suspect though it is common.
3. What do the police do after making an arrest?
-After the arrest, the police inform the arrested person of their rights, make an
arrest record, take the person to the station, question them, and carry out other
legal procedures as required by law.

-The arrest power of the police involves several key features: probable cause,
authority, physical control, communication of arrest, Miranda rights, due
process.
2. What document do the police need to make an arrest?
-The police need an arrest warrant to make an arrest. However, in some cases,
the police can arrest someone without a warrant if they believe that person has
committed a crime.
3. Who can authorize the police to make an arrest?
-Some entities may authorize the police to carry out arrests: legal provisions,
judges or magistrates, police chiefs, etc. Each country will have different regulations.
In Vietnam, an arrest warrant is issued by the head of the investigation agency and
must be approved by the People's Procuracy before it can be enforced.
