1. Ifa says that there is somebody who is living far away from where he/she is born. This
person needs to be in close touch with his /her home town. This is in order to avoid a
situation where all his/her effort will be inherited by other people where he is sojourning.

2. Ifa says that there is a woman who is in her menstrual period at the time that this Odu is
revealed. This woman is seeking the blessing of the fruit of the womb. There is the need
for this woman to offer ebo in order to receive this blessing. The ebo materials here are
two rooster, two hens and money. One of the two roosters will be used to feed Egungun,
while one of the two hens will be used to feed Ifa.

Ifa’s message for Otu
Who after her menstrual period
Would give birth to a child named Egunjobi
It is when Egungun pursued me from the stream back to the house
That I received the ire of a baby
3. Ifa says that the person for whom this Odu is revealed must never steal or be a part of any
robbery gang. The tendency for this person to yield to this temptation is very high. If this
person is involved in stealing, and he fell ill in the process no matter the ebo that was
offered, the person will die. The unfortunate part is that this person will die when his/her
mother is still alive and most people will think that the mother had a hand in his/her
death, this is not so. The major ebo material here is for this person to heed the warning of
the Babalawo.

He was advised to offer ebo

Nobody dare called a bandit a thief
Whoever called a bandit a thief
The person will forfeit all his belongings to the Oba
4. Ifa also warns that if this person is a thief or among the group of bandits, he/she must stop
forthwith. Not only this, he/she must offer ebo and confess his sins to Ifa and Esu. If this
is not done, his/her time to die is very close. The death will be shameful and painful. Ebo
materials; one mature he-goat, three roosters and money. There is also the need to feed
Ifa with one she-goat and feed Esu with one he-goat.

5. Ifa warns that there is the need to offer ebo here in order for the household of this person
not to go into ruins. Ifa says that it is better to offer a big ebo now in order to preserve the
home of the person for whom this Odu is revealed. If this is not done, the home of this
person will collapse and scatters. Ebo materials here are four he-goats, four rams, four
she-goats, four female sheep and money. The ebo will be offered inside a basket.

Ifa’s message for Agbon the Basket
When going to wage war on Ikoyi land
She was advised to offer ebo

6. Ifa says that it foresees the ire of childbearing for a woman who is looking for this
blessing. The ebo materials here are one giant she-goat and money. She also needs to
feed Ifa with four rats, four fish, and one hen. On this, Ifa says:

Dia fun Agan-o-ri-bi
Ti nfomi oju sungbere omo
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gb’ebo, o ru’bo
Ko pe, ko jinna
E wa ba ni jebutu omo

Translation
When Otura saw her menstrual period she boast into tears
Ifa’s message for Agan-o-ri-bi, that Barren woman
When weeping that she has no child
She was advised to offer ebo
She complied
Before long, not too far
Join us in the midst of all ire of life
7. Ifa advises a barren woman to offer ebo and to feed to Paraka masquerade in order to
beget a child. This masquerade will ‘beat’ the woman from the stream back home. She
will be blessed with the fruit of the womb if she can do this. The ebo materials here are
two roosters, two hens and money. One of the two roosters will be used to feed Paraka
masquerade, while one the two hens will be used to feed Ifa. on this, Ifa says:

Oju ipon nipon fi ngbobe
A kii foju oloju sowo ka jeere
Dia fun Ladejobi, omo Elerin-in Okinkin

It is the face of the mortar that the mortar uses to collect food

8. Ifa advises this person to have a sense of self reliance and ensure that whatever he/she
has is taking seriously. This is in order for this person to prevent a situation where he/she
will be working very hard but would not be able to account for the profit accruing from
he/her work. Ebo materials; two pigeons, two guinea-fowls, two roosters and money.
There is also the need to feed Aje as prescribed by Ifa.
