Desktops and laptops both have their own strengths and weaknesses. Laptops are prebuilt

from manufacturer company and Desktops are fully customizable which allows users to

choose and upgrade individual components. Desktop users can upgrade their components for

their necessary needs, but a Laptop user cannot usually change its components as their needs.

Therefore, a Desktop user can change the specific component if that component is bricked.

Desktops are typically more powerful and have a better cooling system that allows for higher

performance tasks such as gaming, video editing and 3D rendering. Additionally, Desktops

generally have larger display which contributes to a more comfortable and immersive user

experience. Meanwhile, Laptops are less powerful due to size constrains and cooling

limitations and has a smaller display compared to Desktops. Desktops are larger and

stationary, which takes more space for powerful hardware. On the other hand, Laptops are

smaller, compact, mobile and has integrated keyboard and mousepad which makes them easy

to carry around. Also, Laptops have built in battery which allow users to use them anywhere,

but they are also limited by battery life. A Laptop can run a certain amount of time on battery

and after usage the battery requires recharging. This makes them ideal for students,

professionals, and anyone who needs to work or entertain themselves on the go. But this

makes laptops more prone to wear and tear from constant movement and may require more

frequent repairs. In essence, desktops and a laptop boil down to the user’s specific needs:

desktops excel in performance and while laptops shine in mobility and convenience. Both

types have their place in the modern computing landscape, catering to different lifestyles and

requirements.
