Eligibility Criteria for the Academic year 2024-25
1. Candidate must have secured the following minimum aggregate or equivalent grades in 10+2
exam (or equivalent qualifying exam) depending upon their category: UR: 60%, EWS: 60%,
OBC:55%, SC/ST/PWD:50%.
2. Candidate must have appeared in all the 7 subjects in National Common Entrance Test 2024
(NCET-2024).
3. The candidate must not be above the age of 20 (for UR and EWS), 23 (for OBC) and 25 (for
SC/ST/PWD) when appearing for the NCET-2024 (i.e. as on 12/06/2024).
4. For admission in Physics (as major)
a. candidate must have written the NCET in Physics as one of their domain subje cts.
b. candidate must have studied Physics and Mathematics in their 10+2.
c. candidate must have scored at least 60% (for UR and EWS), 55% (for OBC), 50% (for
SC/ST/PWD) mark in Physics in their 10+2 exam (or equivalent qualifying exam).
5. For choosing Physics as a minor candidate must have studied Physics and Mathematics in
their 10+2.
6. For admission in Chemistry (major)
a. candidate must have written the NCET in Chemistry as one of their domain subjects.
b. candidate must have studied Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2.
c. candidate must have scored at least 60% (for UR and EWS), 55% (for OBC), 50% (for
SC/ST/PWD) marks in Chemistry in their 10+2 exam (or equivalent qualifying exam).
7. For choosing Chemistry as a minor candidate must have studied Chemistry and Mathemati cs
in their 10+2.
8. For admission in Mathematics (major)
a. candidate must have written the NCET in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics as one
of their domain subjects.
b. candidate must have studied Mathematics in their 10+2.
c. candidate must have scored at least 60% (for UR and EWS), 55% (for OBC), 50% (for
SC/ST/PWD) marks in Mathematics in their 10+2 exam (or equivalent qualifying exam).
9. For choosing Mathematics as a minor candidate must have studied Mathematics in their
10+2.
10. For admission in Economics (major)
a. candidate must have written the NCET in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics as one
of their domain subjects.
b. candidate must have studied Mathematics in their 10+2.
c. candidate must have scored at least 60% (for UR and EWS), 55% (for OBC), 50% (for
SC/ST/PWD) marks in Mathematics (10+2) exam (or equivalent qualifying exam).
11. For choosing Economics as a minor candidate must have studied Mathematics in their 10+2.
