BE MADE REDUNDANT: You are no longer necessary.
BE OFFERED A JOB: to Ask someone
BE SACKED/FIRED/DISMISSED: Lose your job for doing something wrong.
WELL PAID: A good salary
BECOME UNEMPLOYED: You lose your job.
DO SHIFT WORK: A system in which different groups of workers work somewhere
