ADJECTIVES
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, 100% of the students with 80% level of proficiency shall be able to:

a. Define what is adjectives.


b. Students will demonstrate interest in using adjectives to describe sizes, colors, and
things.
c. Students will correctly underline adjectives in the sentences.

III:PROCEDURE

A.ACTIVITY : “Describe the Object”

The teacher will the divide the class into four groups.

Every group will be given an object came from the teacher.

After that every group must have atleast 3 describing words about the object that they
received.

The objects are:

Small ball Bag

Hat Notebook
B. ANALYSIS

After the activity, the teacher will ask the students if they really understand the activity:

What have you observe about the activity we did earlier?


What did we do, can you identify one?
What do you think is our topic for today?

C. ABSTRACTION

Adjectives-is defined as a “word that describes a noun or pronoun”or gives extra information
about them. Adjectives are usually placed before the nouns they describe or after link verbs.

Here are some examples of adjectives:

Handsome Small Tall

Rough Sweet Happy

Beautiful Sad Cold

Here are some sentences using adjectives that describe the picture seen beside the sentences.

This is my favorite book.


The tree is tall.

As you can see in the example sentences, ”Favorite and Tall” are used to describe the noun” Book and
Tree” in the sentence.

Adjectives answer questions like: How big? How many? What kind?

Adjectives make writing interesting.
