• Corporate Communications
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO:
• South African Citizens
• Previously and financially disadvantaged individuals
• Applicants who have applied to study at local and public tertiary institutions
(University and University of Technology)
• People with disabilities and females
Bursaries will cover full tuition, accommodation, book and meal allowances.

1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS
The Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) will only consider your application if
you have completed the form in full, and if the items mentioned below, as, and where
applicable, have been included with your application.
2. DOCUMENTS/ITEMS TO BE INCLUDED WITH YOUR APPLICATION FORM
2.1 Proof of acceptance at a recognized public tertiary institution.
2.2 A certified copy of the applicant's South African identity document (ID).
2.3 Applicants who have completed matric: a certified copy of your final matric results.
2.4 The most recent academic transcript of the applicant if he/she is already studying at an
accredited public institution of higher learning.
2.5 The affidavit completed and signed by all the relevant parties added to the application,
parent(s) or legal guardian(s), and the bursary applicant.
2.6 Kindly provide an invoice/proforma invoice if available.
2.7 Completed income and expenditure statement for the applicant's combined household
income.
2.8 Certified Identity document(s) of the applicant’s parents or legal guardian.
2.9 Most recent pay slip(s), letter(s) of employment, or bank statement, not older than three
(3) months, of each parent or legal guardian; OR
2.10 Proof of income, home loan account statement, and city/town council rates and taxes
statement (not older than three (3) months), if parents or guardians are SMMEs or informal
traders or hawkers, OR

2.11 The IRP5/ IT3/ and IT12 documents for the past two (2) years, if parents or legal guardians
are commission earning only, OR
2.12 Any official proof or pension slip or past three (3) months' bank statements bank
statement (not older than three (3) months, if parents or guardians receive income in
pension/ grant/ maintenance/ rent/ interest from any other source of income.
2.13 An essay of a maximum of 250 or fewer words to motivate your application (see page 6
of this form).
