Carl Haber

Carl Haber is an American physicist. He is best


known for his work in audio preservation.[1] In 2013 Carl Haber
he was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship.[2] Born Queens, New York, United States

Haber attended Columbia University for his B.A.,
Guggenheim Fellowship (2006)
[Link], and Ph.D. Since 1986, he has worked for the
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Haber's work Scientific career
on the IRENE system has involved collaboration with Fields Physics
the Smithsonian and the Library of Congress. [3]

Methods invented by Haber have been credited with restoring the earliest known recording of a human
voice, as well as early recordings of Alexander Graham Bell's voice.[4]

He was elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 2001.[5]
