WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

A walk-in interview will be conducted on 19th & 20th December 2024 for engagement of Guest Faculties
(Asst. Prof.) for Anthropology, Hindi, Physics and Home Science and Geography.

Venue of Interview: Concerned Department


Reporting Time: 09:00 AM
Documents required: Bio-data in the prescribed format along with
a) Original Marksheets and Certificates of all Examinations.
b) Original Certificate of Teaching Experience.
c) Original UGC (NET) Certificate (if passed).
d) Original Ph.D. Degree Certificate. (if passed).
e) Original Copies of all Research Publications.
f) One set of Photocopies of all the above documents arranged in ascending order and self
attested.
g) One recent colour pass port size photograph.
1. Educational Qualifications:
As per UGC Guidelines, 2018. In case of non-availability of candidates having PhD/NET
qualification, candidates with Post-Graduate Degree with good academic record will be considered.
2. Tenure of engagement:
a. The tenure of engagement of faculties under this arrangement shall be for this academic session
or till the vacancy is filled in regular manner whichever is earlier.
b. The continuation of engagement shall be subject to satisfactory performance based on review.
c. This arrangement shall be purely temporary in nature.
3. Honorarium:
Honorarium shall be paid as per the notification of Higher Education Department.

No other allowances or financial benefits are allowed in favour of the guest faculties.

a. The candidates engaged against post of Guest Faculty will be allowed to avail 10 days leave in a
year.
b. The payment of all statutory taxes including the income tax will be the sole responsibility of the
Guest Faculties.
c. All statutory deduction including Tax deduction at source (TDS) will be deducted by the
University against the payable remuneration at applicable rates as per the prevailing laws, rules
and regulations.
4. Mode of Selection:
a. The selection of Candidates for recruitment to the posts of Guest Faculty/ Asst. Professor
shall be made on the basis of evaluations as under:
i. General Career : 30 Marks
(i.e. HSC, lntermediate, Degree, PG, NET/JRF)
ii. Research Degree (i.e. M.Phil., PhD etc.) : 20 Marks
(M. Phil – 05, PhD – 15)

iii. Teaching Experience : 10 Marks Maximum


(2 Marks for each year)

iv. Demo Class : 10 Marks Maximum

v. Research Publications : 10 Marks Maximum


(2 marks for each paper)
vi. Viva-Voce : 20 Marks

b. The duration of Demo Class will be of 10 - 15 minutes.


c. The syllabus for the demo class will be as per the U.G & P.G. syllabus of the University.
d. The detailed subject wise syllabus is available in the University website.
5. A panel will be prepared based on the recommendations of the selection committee
6. Addendum/ corrigendum, if any, shall be posted only on the university website.
7. The university reserves the right to fill or not to fill the temporary vacancies without assigning any
reasons thereof.
8. This engagement is purely temporary in nature and will be governed under the terms and conditions
of Higher Education Department, Odisha order no. 4477/HE & 4478, dated 01.02.2024 of Higher
Education Department, Odisha.
