Final Project
Overview
The real estate market is de ned by the transactions of both residential
properties and commercial properties. Typical residential properties are houses
and apartments. Commercial properties include o ce buildings and industrial
properties. Besides of property sales, leases of apartments and houses are a
part of the market.
Proptech, short for property technology, is the intersection of the real estate
industry and software technology. There are many successful companies in this
sector like Zillow ( https://www.zillow.com/ ) and Trulia ( https://
www.trulia.com/ ). These companies help connect buyers and sellers, landlords
and renters, thus, generate billions of dollars of transactions annually.
In Vietnam, proptech is still in its early phase of development. Although many
startups are well funded by wealthy investors, they are failed to facilitate the
operations of the real estate market. Batdongsan (https://batdongsan.com.vn/)
is one of the few survivors in this highly competitive and emerging market.
In this project, you will build a web-based platform to support the operations of
the real estate business.
Business Requirements
The system is decomposed into 5 main services: Listing Service, Sales Service,
Rental Service, Payment Service and Security (User / Authentication) Service.
Listing Service takes care of all the activities related to the listings which are the
posts of the properties in the website. The realtors (real estate agents) can
fi

upload and modify the information of the properties including id, name, address
(location), the sales or rental price. The users (buyers, renters) can view the
information of the listings in the website and then make the decisions to come
and see, buy or rent the properties.
The Sales Service is in charge of all activities related to sales transactions. The
realtors work with the buyers and other parties to close the sales. The Sales
Service should handle the steps in the procedure and store all information in the
system.
The Rental Service helps the renters view all the available apartments and
o ces in the regions. The renters can contact the realtors to make the contacts
to rent the properties. All the information in the process should be stored in the
system.
Each transaction in the system would contribute a commission to the proptech
company. The Payment Service manage all nancial operations in the platform.
The Security Service guarantees that all the operations in the platform are
conducted in a safe and secure manner. The Security Service can provide user
management feature as well as the authentication and authorization services.
Technical Requirements
1. Build a system based on Java Spring Boot framework to perform all
operations stated above. You can refer to the operations of the mentioned
successful companies. The data of the system should be stored in MySQL
or Postgres DBMS. The images of listings, realtors, users could be stored in
NOSQL database (MongoDB). The frontend could be developed by Spring
Thymeleaf or any other popular technologies like React or Angular.
2. Each service should be implemented as a web service to provide APIs to
perform CRUD operations on the data of listings, users, transactions, etc.
3. An acceptable amount of unit tests should be covered.
4. A project report includes:
• Analysis and Design: explanation for software development principles,
patterns and practices being applied. Include all class diagrams, entity-

relationship database diagrams, use cases, and solution diagrams for the
components, infrastructure design if any.
• Implementation: explanation for the code structure, technologies used in the
project.
• Deployment: All required steps in order to get the application run on a local
computer. It would be a plus if you can deploy your application to Docker,
Kubernetes or real website hosting service.
• Web Service: full Postman snapshots to verify the APIs including request
endpoints, HTTP Headers and request payload if any.
• User Interface: present all functionalities of your website.
5. Provide a demo video to show all nice features of your proptech platform.
6. Provide architecture of the whole platform, preferably to apply Micro-
services architecture. Each service could be designed and implemented
using Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles.
7. Apply new technologies for handling communication between services. You
are recommended to use message broker like RabbitMQ.
