Sp of the turning Ch, 1 Dc in the 2nd Ch of the turning Ch-3. Turn.
Rows 8-19: Repeat Rows 2-7
Rows 20-37(38,39,40,41): Ch 2 (does not count as a stitch here and throughout)
1 Dc in each St across. Turn. 69(73,77,81,85 Dc) your last Dc is in the top of
the Ch 3.
For a longer shirt, add more rows here to your desired length.
Make the shoulder-
Row 38(39,40,41,42): Ch 2, work 18(20,22,24,26) Dc. Turn. 18(20,22,24,26 Dc).
Row 39(40,41,42,43): Ch 1, 1 Sc in each St across. 18(20,22,24,26 Sc).
Tie off.
PATTERN !3
Opposite Side-
Lay your panel down in front of you. Starting from the opposite side of row
37(38,39,40,41), Count 18(20,22,24,26) Stitches in towards the center of your shirt.
Join your yarn into that stitch with a Sl St.
Row 38(39,40,41,42): Ch 2, work 18(20,22,24,26) Dc across (you will now be at
the end of the row) Turn. 18(20,22,24,26) Dc.
Row 39(40,41,42,43): Ch 1, 1 Sc in each St across. 18(20,22,24,26) Sc.
Tie off.
Seam your work together-
Place your panels together, with the correct sides facing. Seam rows 39(40,41,42,43)
together using method of choice. I like to use my hook and Sl St the pieces
together, working through the outer loops only. You could also use a yarn needle
and mattress stitch across.
Seam the side of your shirt together starting at the bottom and working your way
up to approximately Row 26(27,28,29,30). Repeat on opposite side.
Turn your work correct side out.
Neckline Trim-
Join yarn to any stitch (I like to join at the shoulder seam) with a Sl St. Ch 1, work 1
Sc into each St around and join to the top of the first St with a Sl St. (you will
make 2 Sc into the sides of the double crochet stitches at the shoulder
areas.) Tie off.
Sleeve Trim (complete on both sleeves)-
Join yarn with a Sl St at the seam of the arm pit area.
Round 1: Ch 1. Single Crochet evenly around the arm hole. Join with a Sl St to
the first Sc made. Specific St amount is not crucial but you should end with
approcimately 40(44,48,52,56) Sc.
Round 2: Ch 1, 1 Sc in same St. *Skip next St, work 5 Dc into following St. Skip
next St, work 1 Sc into following St.* Repeat all the way around the sleeve. Work 1
Sc into any remaining “leftover” stitches you may have in the armpit area. Join to
the first Sc with a Sl St. Tie off.
