1. Where was you born? / where is your hometown?


 To be honest, I was born and raised in Da Huoai district, Lam Dong province which is
located in the Central Highlands.
2. Can you tell me a little bit about your hometown?
 You know, my hometown has a lot of landscapes that are worth experiencing such as
Cat Tien National Park, Langbiang mountain, Linh Phuoc pagoda. Especially Dalat is one
of Vietnam‘s famous cities often called The Flowers city. When it comes to the weather
in my hometown, I would say that it is cool weather, it makes me feel more comfortable
and relaxed. Locals are easygoing and welcoming, they are always willing to help other.
The place of life is pretty lively. In my opinion, Lam dong is an ideal city to live.
3. Has your hometown changed much since you were a child?
 Actually, my town has changed a great deal since I was a child. Many roads have been
built and more vehicles are seen on the streets. New schools and big stores are
constructed too. Therefore, my hometown is really developing and I’m happy with it.
4. What do you like most about your hometown?
 To be honest, I really like the peace of my countryside, because it makes me feel
comfortable. Besides, people always live close together and give a hand to each other
when they need.
5. Would you prefer to live somewhere else? (Why)
 I would say that my town is a worth living place for everyone. It’s a pretty peaceful and
quiet place. In my future, I will continue living there.
6. Does your hometown have a lot of tourists?
 Well you know, there are a lot of beautiful places that are worth discovering in my
hometown, especially Dalat city, where attracts many tourists.

Let’s talk about walking

Well you know I love walking. I often walking at the park when I have spare time. Actually, I
personally think that walking is important because it is beneficial not only my body but also my
mental health. To be honest, I would say that walking in the countryside is better than walking
in the city because I have more specific to take a walk. Moreover, it is safer for health due to
less pollution.

Now, I’m going to talk about eating habits

Honestly, I am a health-conscious person so I always choose fresh and healthy meals. You
know, I usually have lunch with my colleagues at the cafeteria. I eat a lot of vegetables instead
of rice because vegetable contains vitamins and minerals. I would have to say that the
unhealthiest food I can think of is fast food and junk food because it is fattening and has too
much calories. Therefore, it can cause serious diseases such as cancer, obesity or even high
blood pressure / it’s detrimental to our health.

Let’s talk about weather.

Actually, I’m keen on autumn, when it becomes cooler. You know, weather affects my mood.
Sometimes, I’m happy on sunny days because I can go everywhere if I want, but on rainy days, I
only spend time sleeping, it makes me feel bored. To be honest, I would have to say that I’m
excited about hot weather because I have more energy. I will do outdoor activities to relax like
swimming or climbing.

Now, I’m going to talk about childhood game.

To be honest, I can’t remember vividly but you know when I was a child, I used to play hide and
seek or skipping rope with my friends near my house at break time. I would say that these ones
aren’t complicated so we don’t need any skills to play them.

Let me talk about noise! Well, you know, I was born and raised in the countryside which is
unpolluted, quiet and more peaceful. So there is nothing better than living a quiet place.
Actually, I’m currently living in a bustling busy area so I hear various kinds of noise every day.
Mostly, noise comes from traffic, constructions sites, machinery, something like that but loud
music disturbs me most. I suppose noise is detrimental to my health because I can’t have the
sleep of just whenever hearing it.

Now I’m going to talk about photograph.


To be honest, it’s hard for me to say because there are so many photographs that I’m really
keen on but if I had to pick one, family pictures is my go-to choice. Actually, it took last year
when all members were present there, we wanted to save this moment which made me feel
happy whenever I see it. I personally think that picture with my parents when I graduated
university 6 years ago is the photograph special to me because they were extremely happy at
that time.

Let’s talk about living place
You know, I was born and raised in Da Huoai district, Lam Dong province which is located in the

workers but mostly they’re farmers because this is the rural area therefore people here live
mainly on agriculture.

Now, I’m going to talk about accommodation

You know, I live in an apartment that has two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a
bathroom. Although it’s not a big apartment, it’s suitable for me. I’ve lived there for about 03
years. It's the first house that I've owned. What I like about apartment is the balcony with a
small table and two chairs, where I can sit, relax and enjoy the panoramic vista of the city while
having coffee. Moreover, I decorated it myself, I chose all the furniture, and everything is where
I want it to be.

Let’s talk about birthday

You know, my birthday is on the 25th of February. It is in the spring which is the most beautiful season
of the year. Honestly, on my birthday I usually spend time cooking favorite foods with my family at
home, eating and talking together. I would have to say that Tet holiday is my favorite family celebration
because my family can do many things together like preparing traditional food, decorating the house.

Now, I’m going to talk about public transportation

You know, I’m living in bustle and hustle city so motorbike is the best way because of its reasonable
price and convenience. You can travel to any places in my town. Actually, there are many means of
transportation that I like, but if I had to pick one, bicycle is my go-to choice because it’s cheap and
environment-friendly. I would have to say that people should use public transportation more because it
can help to protect our environment.

You know, I think clothes are important to me because it can help me protect my body from harsh
weather conditions. There are many kinds of clothes that I usually wear, but if I had to pick one, I would
go for T-shirt and Jeans. I would have to say that most people in my country follow fashion.

To be honest, I often read the newspaper because it can help me update information about any topics in

Well you know, I have always been a big fan of buying shoes since I was a student at high school.
Actually, I’m quite an on-line shopaholic, especially shoes because of its convenience. To be honest, my
job requires a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are my go-to choice.

Now, I’m going to talk about park

I would have to say that I’m fond of playing in the park because it helps me reduce stress after a busy
time at work. There are a lot of things I can do in a park, but I love the most is going jogging. Compared
to the past, there are now more trees and flowers in a park. Moreover, there are now more recreational
facilities and adventure playgrounds.

I was born in August 5th. My mother told me that it was a very cool day in Autumn. I was the first
child in my family so I got love and care from my grandparents, parents and relatives.
On my birthday, I often prepare a good meal and invite some close friends to my house for dinner.
We eat together and chat in a cozy atmosphere.
OR On my birthday, I often invite some close friends to a restaurant for a small party. I blow off the
candles on the birthday cake, and my friends wish me good luck, good health and success. I get
some gifts from them. Then we sing Happy Birthday song. We chat and enjoy ourselves.
There are a lot of celebrations my family has; however, Lunar New Year celebration or Tet holiday is
the most special time not only for me, but also for Vietnamese people. We have much time
together to prepare for our holiday. We clean the house; decorate it with nice flowers and plants.
At New Year’s Eve all family members get together to enjoy traditional food and give the best
wishes to everyone. Children and old people receive lucky money. That is my most preferable
celebration.

In my opinion, a bicycle is the best way to travel in my town. Firstly, the town is small and the
streets are narrow, so it is easy and convenient for a bicycle to move to every corner of the town.
Secondly, cycling helps to protect the environment and it’s cheap.
OR Indeed, riding a bike is very necessary and beneficial for our health. The more we cycle, the
better health we have.
My favorite means of transportation is a motorbike, because it faster than a bicycle. It is not too big
to move in narrow streets, and it is not as expensive as a car to buy and drive, either.
In my view, public transportation should be used more for some reasons. Firstly, it is cheap and
safe. Secondly, it helps to reduce traffic jams and accidents. Thirdly, we can protect the
environment when using less private cars.

I am interested in music because of its rhythm and lyrics. I feel relaxed when listening to music.

Pop music is very popular in my country. It is said that it is the music of the young which makes
people love life more. It gives people more energy to live and work.
In my opinion, music is good for people. When you listen to music, you can feel your happiness or
sadness in the rhythm and lyrics. Moreover, music makes you relaxed and comfortable after a hard
working day. A joyful song can cheer you up and change your mood. It is the reason why when you
are happy or in troubles, music is always your good friend.

Let’s talk about English:

- Did you learn English at secondary school?


- What do you think about how English is taught at school now?
- In what ways has children’s English much improved nowadays?

Yes, I did. English was a compulsory subject in my school. I knew that English was necessary for my
study and my future job.
Now English is taught in a traditional way at schools. It means that/Meaning that students learn
grammar, vocabulary and how to make correct sentences but not how to communicate in real life
situations. English is considered as a compulsory subject rather than an interest. As a result, most
students are reluctant to learn English.
These days children learn English from very young age. They start learning English at Kindergarten
and can access a lot of resources in English. They can listen to English songs, watch movies in
English, and participate in English speaking clubs to improve their language proficiency. Some
parents send their children abroad, so they have chances to live and study in an English speaking
environment.
