Guidelines for Preparing the Assignment
The Paper
Cover Page: The paper should begin with a cover page that includes:
o The title(s) of the assignment
o The names and ID numbers of the group members
o The date of submission
Table of Contents
Introduction: Provide a brief introduction to the topic being explored. Begin by
conceptualizing both formal and informal fallacies, offering examples for each.
Body: The body should elaborate on the topics, providing any central arguments and
personal insights and reflections. Discuss the definitions and nature of each assigned
fallacy, presenting two unique examples for each that are not derived from the materials
provided by the instructor.
Conclusion: Conclude with a brief summary of the issues discussed in the body of the
paper.
References
Page Limit: The paper should be between 7-10 pages in length.
Note: While it is permissible to incorporate ideas from the module and other sources,
particularly for the first two groups, direct copying without paraphrasing is unacceptable and will
negatively impact your grade.
Paper Format
Spacing: Use 1.5 spacing
Font: Use 12-point Times New Roman font
The Presentation
Presenter: Only one student from the group will deliver the presentation.
Questions: Each member will be questioned individually to ensure their participation in
the assignment. Failure to adequately respond to questions will result in a deduction of
points.
Delivery: The presentation should be oral, avoiding passive reading of notes. The
presenter should focus on the main points and avoid redundancy.
Time Limit: Each presenter is allowed a maximum of 15 minutes for their presentation.
The Presentation shall have slides.
