(IRA):
LGUs receive a portion of the national
government's revenue, known as the
Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA), which
funds local projects and services. The
amount is based on a formula considering
population, land area, and equal sharing.
Local Legislation:
The LGU’s legislative body
(Sangguniang) creates local laws,
ordinances, and policies. These
include traffic regulations, zoning,
business permits, and more. They
also reviewed the LGU’s annual
budget.
