Volume-1
(1) Introduction:-
1.1) Brief description of road e.g. name, habitation benefited, length, link route or through road in core
network, Phase/Batch of construction, present status of roads.
1.2) Brief description of river or nalla on which proposed bridge to be constructed, locations of proposed
bridge brief descriptions and present conditions of existing structure.
1.3) Necessity and importance of bridge.
(2) Survey and investigation:-
2.1) Topographical survey:- L-section and cross of river indicating slope of river bed.
2.2) L-section on bridge alignment i/c approaches.
2.3) Photographs- 5 photographs of bridge site from different angle.
(3) Hydraulic Parameters:-
3.1) HFL by theoretical calculation LWL and water table during the year.
3.2) Catchments area of river at site indicates percents area of forest area, hilly area, etc.
3.3) Discharge calculation, design discharge, design velocity (Detailed calculation sheet to be
enclosed.)
3.4) Scour depth calculations.
3.5) Complete hydraulic calculation.
(4) Foundation investigation:-
4.1) Details foundation exploration and bore log details with pictorial chart.
4.2) Safe bearing capacity at different points and design SBC.
(5) Provisions:-All component of bridge-description.
Volume-2 drawings
(1) L-section of river/nalla 500 meter up stream and 500 meter down stream including showing the
location of bridge.
(2) X-section of river 15 meter both side of bridge alignment.
(3) Drawing showing alignment and position of bridge indicating angle of bridge ( if skew)
(4) L-section showing position of bridge and both side approaches.
(5) Detail plan of bridge showing approaches of protection work.
(6) General arrangement drawing. (Working drawing)
(7) Detailed construction drawing of the components.
Volume-3 Structural design
(1) Water way Calculation.
(2) Structured design of all components+ Softcopy.
Volume-4 Detail estimate
(1) Details calculation of various items. (Separate cost estimate for 5.5 wide and 7.5 wide bridge to be
enclosed)
(2) C-form (Check list), Prapatra 1 to 4
