This reading comprehension packet is designed to help kids work
toward the goals of reading Level D text and answering text-
based multiple choice questions.
I am finding that, with guided practice, kids quickly develop the
skills they need to be successful reading these passages and
answering the questions. I have developed a few routines to
help kids learn to answer multiple choice questions and am
offering these routines as part of a free product at my shop.

This packet includes eighteen passages and four text-based
multiple choice questions for each passage. (A bonus passage
about the American flag is also included.) With each passage,
there is also a written response page including a labeling activity
or fill in the blank questions.
