Bank digitalization (Onsite and Offshore)
A new state of the art digital bank is planned to be rolled out across the globe. The bank has aim to open its digital
banking operations in countries across Europe, US and Latin American countries, that can accept any kind of
transaction e.g. ATM, POS, Debit, Credit, Prepaid, Virtual Card, Wallet transaction, EMI transaction, Core Banking
Transaction, Money Transfers, Cross currency and so on. As their digital strategy partner, the inside-out analysis of all
the card products to identify the gaps has been done. The financial and non-financial processes by integrating real-time
(API based) and batch interfaces of a Card Management system with Core banking system have been designed. The
operations include card registration, control, embossing, authorization, transaction processing and posting, statement,
alert and notification, installment etc. Fraud and Dispute management for Spain and Argentina operations complying
with geographical restriction and specifications and functionalities providing foreign ATM withdrawal benefits to
customers have been designed single handedly. Presentation on migration strategy from old legacy system to new
platform has been prepared and represented in front of the client based on which development is being done. Main
activities include:
User Story and Interface specification Document creation for each gap and functionality identified.

Walk through with core development team and resolve practical questions with techno functional expertise
Working with vendor for card management system tool to lay out requirements for customization and
modification

Acquiring platform migration (Onsite)
Worked as a Techno functional analyst with client for migrating entire acquirer processing system from legacy to a new
acquiring platform for domestic and international merchants for a third party processor in UK by customizing the
BAU processing to accommodate new set of migrating merchant profiles, thus ensuring merchants get paid through
their usual channels like BACS, FP, SEPA etc. from the new platform. Activities included:
Migration activity planner creation for migration waves depending of merchant profile volumes.
Suggesting changes to technical team to customize the daily settlement cycles for better performance
Analyzing the merchant profile data after migration during triage and provide necessary correction.
Fit migration activities seamlessly with the existing daily clearing, billing and charging process of merchants
Proposing new solution to the architecture of acquiring platform in order to incorporate different features of
merchants’ clearing and billing process, like FX, chargebacks, reporting.
Payment Back End Platform (Onsite and Offshore)
Worked as a Business Analyst with a leading US acquirer processor on functionalities like Clearing & Settlement,
Merchant, Billing & Funding, Dispute Management and Reconciliation. Managed a team of 50 resources and delivered
projects as business SME and mainframe developer in Core settlement processing segment, that accepts credit card
payment transactions from merchants and merchant banks in batch, edits the information and exchanges with
networks like Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover primarily and in turn accepts the incoming settlement information
from those networks. Primarily gained expertise on outgoing interchange, authorization, incoming settlement and
balancing in clearing cycle. Also program managed the entire reconciliation project which includes pre-edit to
reformatted outgoing, outgoing to incoming, data capture to funding. Key projects delivered:
Association releases for schemes like MasterCard, Visa, and Discover – Every year schemes roll out new
rules and code logics to be implemented in acquirer processor code base in order to synchronize the qualification
of the transactions optimally for the card users. As an SME gone through the requirements and changes proposed
by schemes and narrated the requirements in technical fashions so that developers can pick them up to code, test
and implement.
Migration to Visa’s new Dispute system VCR (Visa Claims Resolution) to help Visa improve dispute resolution
efficiency.
Migration of a group of merchants from passthrough to Full service platform of Disover – As strategic
partner helped acquirer processor to on-board merchants for Discover full service where merchants can accept
Discover cards at their outlets and settle the transactions with processor for optimal fees. Previously these
merchants used the acquirer processor to pass the transactions to Discover and settle them directly to minimize the
fees involved.
On-boarding of bank sponsored merchants into acquirer processor platform – reconciliation of transaction
volumes
Expedited funding of high profile merchants – increase the number of funding cycles for high profile
merchants in order to settle account multiple times in a day to accommodate high transactional volumes by syncing
the data capture and funding cycles and balancing them to perfection.
Amex Optblue Pricing Model - OptBlue is a payment processing option that allows smaller businesses to
accept American Express credit cards — without paying higher merchant fees. Those who sign up for this
program can automatically “bundle” American Express along with the other major card brands that they already
accept
POS Certification Testing – Leading US Acquirer processor launched new POS machine following EMVCos
specification at hardware and software level. It offers POS/mPOS terminals to existing and on boarding
merchants to cater to their need of transaction processing maintaining security. As consulting partner, proposed
cases for testing entire gamut of transaction types (Swipe, contact, contactless, EMV etc.) for different card types
including Credit, debit, prepaid and cobranded. Also was involved in verification of PCI compliance for captured
transaction details, testing with expired card or incorrect PIN and POS closing match.
