INTRODUCTION
The Italian Republic, mostly known as Italy is a
country in Southern and Western Europe. It consists
of a peninsula that extends into the Mediterranean
Sea, with the Alps on its northern land border, as well
as nearly 800 islands, notably Sicily and Sardinia.
Italy shares its borders with France, Switzerland,
Austria, Slovenia, and two enclaves: Vatican City and
San Marino. It is the tenth-largest country in Europe
by area, covering 301,340 km2 (116,350 sq mi), and
third-most populous member state of the European
Union, with a population of nearly 60 million. Italy's
capital and largest city is Rome.
CULTURE
Italian culture is steeped in the arts,
family, architecture, music and food.
Home of the Roman Empire and its
legendary figures such as Julius
Caesar and Nero, it was also a major
center of the Renaissance and the
birthplace of fascism under Benito
Mussolini

If you decide to visit Italy we suggest you choose one
region and explore that. Take it slowly. Enjoy the local
cuisine and foods. Walk a lot. Really get to know that area.
Then do the same thing with another area next time. Too
many people come to Italy and try to see all the major
tourist attractions in one or two weeks. That is a waste of
time and money from my perspective. If your dream is to
see Rome then spend some days in Rome and then
explore the surrounding region. If you dream of
experiencing Tuscany then spend 2 weeks in Tuscany and
explore here. But jumping from Rome to Florence to
Venice in a week or two is exhausting and you will only
take home with you a superficial taste of these places.
You will also miss so much of what makes Italy amazing.
