REFLECTION PAPER: STI PUERTO PRINCESA INTRAMURALS 2024

Opening of Intramurals

Intramurals is always been celebrated every year by different schools, it is one of the most important

and exciting events for students. It provide opportunities for student to be physically active and to

be able to showcase their skill at different sport. STI Puerto Princesa intramurals have already set a

date, which will happen on November 11-15. This program will take 5 days with the players along

with their teams to support them. Before the intramurals have finally opened, many sports have

already started, like the E-sport game such as ML, Valorant, and taken. Every players showed their

skills and spirit of teamwork as they played their favorite games together. Moreover, some other

sport like chess and billiards have already started as well, everyone shows their uniqueness in hitting

the shots and brilliance minds when it comes to play. In my experience as part of cheerba dance

team, it’s quite tiring every day because we always indeed go back home every night, those

stretching parts we practice hit our body really hard, and most especially the sacrifices for expending

amount of money just to provide the needs for our performance, was quite heavy in our pockets,

but still everything turn out well.

On November 11, the first day of opening for intramurals had finally started. Everything was full of

vibrant colors as they wore their team shirt confidently; those teams are the power rangers with

yellow, pink, red, green, black, and blue team colors. The event starts with the prayers, followed by

the singing of Philippine anthem and the singing of the STI anthem. After that, before the events

finally start, the head of STI grabs the time to make his/her speech, and lastly the introduction for

the judges. Finally, the programs start with a full package of energy and yells from the different

teams as their representative finally showcases their creative customs and different moves to the
audience. After that, we had an unexpected freestyle Zumba dance together with the other teams.

Every team had their own choreography, and it was such fun moments because some of the

freestyle were quite hilarious and didn’t synchronized with the teams. Despite that, everyone

enjoyed it. After the Zumba dance performance we finally move on to the one of the anticipated

part of events, the Cheerba dance, where will finally showcase their skills in dancing with unique

choreography. The performance start with red rangers, followed by the black, pink, green, blue and

lastly our teams yellow rangers. It was a precious moment for me a as new student in STI I got the

chance to join this kind performance. Everyone did their best and left with no crabs. For the 2 nd last

performance the dance sport with different categories, it feels quite sad because yellow team have

no entry for that, but all in all, everyone did a great job and devoured the floor. For the and final

performance are the first ever STI LGBTQ intramurals 2024, the audience get more excited and hype

as they all perform on a stage together with strong charismatic aura and confidents. Each of them

showcase their talent such as dancing, poetry, and acting. After that, they finally showcase their

each fabulous and very aesthetic vibe of style, everyone devour and bring hype to the audience. For

the last and most anticipated part, the question and answer fortune, every contestant showcase

their thoughts to everyone and deliver it with confidents, but some them are nervous. But all in all it

was a full blown performances and the first day of intramurals end with announcing the winner and

it’s the black ranger who take the first ever crown, the rest have also special award to.

3 day games

On November 12, 13 and 14, the game was held in Puerto Princesa sports complex. The first day of

the game start with volley ball boys and girls. It was an intense fight against each team, the

atmosphere were filed with unmatched energy of the players and full of determination. After that,

at 1 pm we move to basketball court near in PSU area, the game start again with basketball girls and

boys. First quarter of fight was already an epic, especially in basketball girls. Even though they are
just a girl, but the fight was so incredible to believe that those girl are beautiful to be monster in

chasing the balls. For men basketball, we can see the eagerness in their eye the way they make each

move and they also had an incredible ability in doing those shots. Day 2, another day another slay

for the players, the energy from the first day was still carried and become even more exciting. The

spirits of student participation are matching the energy of the players, keeping colors of the team

are still there, student are still wearing their teams shirt from first day to day two. Seeing your teams

earning points make us also feel happy, because every time we do yell or cheering it was all worth it.

It was a tiring day for us also even though were not players. In that day same from day 1 of game,

from 7 am to 12 pm noon, it was the volleyball girl and men, after that at 1pm we move again in

basketball court for basketball girls and men. Me with my friend when to table tennis court to

support our classmate, it was an intense fight against each team, it was the final round of play, and

the championship for girl table tennis goes to our team the yellow rangers. It was also announce that

day that the Palarong Pinoy was not be able to continue. On day 3, it was the game for

championship teams, the vibrant glow was still present in Sport Complex. The echoes of cheers,

become even loud, as the teams fully burst out their voice and excited for the championship. Today

game, is for the last fight for volleyball, basketball and table tennis of girls and boys. It was full of

powerful spike, powerful movements and fast eye sight for depending the flying shuttlecocks. There

is little problem that happened that time, it was the tension between team green and red rangers,

but later on it was fixed

Closing of intramurals

On November 15, the last day of intramurals was held at SM Puerto Princesa. The events start with

the prayers, followed by the singing of Philippine anthem, and singing of STI anthem. The event was

hosted by the STI head sir warren and sir. Today, the events was the anticipated moments that

everyone been waiting for. The Ms. And Mrs. Intramurals 2024, the events start with full stage and
charismatic performance by the participants of different teams. It start with introducing themselves

followed by showcasing their creative and high budget costume, each of them show their

charismatic aura while they confidently showcase to audience their walks. After that, it was followed

by wonderful and very elegant gown, for the final and most anticipated part is the fight for brain and

intelligence, the question and answer fortune. Every participants delivers their thoughts with

enough confidence, even though some of them are nervous, they still managed to answer the

question, and for the last part was the announcement of winner, the new Ms. And Mrs. STI

intramurals 2024 are from the black and blue team.

Overall reflection

Overall, the STI intramurals 2024 went successful and everyone give their full best, the players

completely give their energy during the fight. It was filled with a mix of excitement, camaraderie and

dose of competitions. Before the intramurals start the weeks are filled with preparation an

anticipation where the students athletes training. Team spirit of school, cheers, and yells were

presence every day. Camaraderie and teamwork, the bonding of friendship and new friends will

always be a memorable memories to everyone. Teamwork, players are shows teamwork and

cooperation to each other, this are the reason why they achieved to win against other team.

Moreover beyond the competition having fun and enjoyment with anyone.
