Job Description: Quality Analyst Intern
Overview:
As a Quality Analyst Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and
functionality of our software products. You will work closely with the product team and the
development team to understand product requirements and create test cases to verify that
the software meets these requirements. Your attention to detail and systematic approach
will contribute to delivering high-quality software that meets our customers' needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Test Planning and Preparation:
- Identify test scenarios based on business requirements and technical specifications as
agreed upon by the product and tech team.
2. Execution of Test Cases:
- Execute test cases on multiple platforms like browsers and physical devices.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or enhancements do not
adversely affect existing functionality.
3. Defect Reporting and Tracking:
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
- Work with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of defects.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project
stakeholders like Engineering Manager and Product Managers.
5. Release Management:
- Sign off outgoing builds on multiple environments like staging, UAT, pre-production and
Production to ensure healthy integrations with other modules.
6. Test Automation:
- Contribute in developing a test framework for execution of sanity suites across platforms
for regular upkeep of websites and to reduce regression testing efforts.
