Quick Incomplete Lore Primer
Welcome to Altros
A beautiful realm overseen by the all-powerful beings and deities of folklore shared by the Norse
and Shinto. A realm shared by all of many kinds. Vikings, Descendants of Giants, Kitsune’s,
Fey, all things of all origin, residing in the vast realm. At the center of it all, Ygris. The center of
the realm, the connection where all is shared and practiced together, Shrine keepers, vikings,
and all come together united together. All are worshipped here, albeit some more than others.
At the bottom left, is Valkor, a land overseen by the Aesir; The All-Father Odin. Covered
in vast fields and snowy mountains. Above it is Jӧtar. Once a single continent but when Odin
and Loki clashed, Loki separated the two to divide a land for his people and supporters. Many
who follow or descend from viking culture come from either, but there is still some conflict
between them, nobody truly knows the reason for the conflict, it is lost to time and each
continent believes their own narratives.
And to our left, Izanagi. Named after the forefather himself, the land was made, but the
deity lost. His children are in a current harmony with overlapping domains with the Norse. A land
filled with high mountain ranges, enchanted forest, and many unexplored regions. In all this
time… Odin never dared to wage war and conquer it, instead they made peace and formed
Ygris, a sign of new beginnings and sharing of the realm.
The map is incomplete, the realm is still young, not many explorers tell their tales
or come back to, not everything has been charted, what whimsical adventures will you
have in Altors? What will you discover? Time will tell what story you will make of
yourself.
