### Introduction

The Gedeo Zone in Ethiopia is a vibrant region characterized by rich cultural heritage and agricultural
practices, yet it faces significant challenges in accessing modern education and technology. In an
increasingly digital world, the lack of educational resources in science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics (STEM) limits opportunities for youth and hampers local development. Recognizing this
gap, initiatives aimed at enhancing science and technology education have emerged as vital for
empowering communities, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable development. By investing
in education and digital literacy, these initiatives aim to equip individuals with the necessary skills to
thrive in the modern economy, address local challenges, and contribute to the region’s overall growth
and progress.

### Background

The Gedeo Zone, located in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region of Ethiopia, is a
culturally rich area known for its strong agricultural practices and vibrant communities. However, like
many regions, it faces challenges in accessing modern science and technology education, which is crucial
for local development and economic growth.
In response to these challenges, organizations focused on fostering science and technology have
emerged to enhance educational opportunities, promote digital literacy, and support innovation among
youth and local entrepreneurs. These initiatives aim to empower the community by providing resources,
skills training, and infrastructure necessary to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

By cultivating a culture of science and technology, these organizations play a vital role in bridging the
gap between traditional practices and modern advancements, thus contributing to sustainable
development and improving the overall quality of life in the Gedeo Zone.

### Specific Objectives
