Brgy. Surok, Borongan E. Samar

A. Significant Activities (Events Experiences) (20%)

For our last day, we group 1 was assigned to the food committee. I couldn't see
with my naked eyes how the people celebrated our culmination day, but I could
hear their laughing and vibrant talk from where we cook our lunch. And there was
an audible glint of happiness that demonstrated that all of our efforts from day one
to day five had come together to make the community happy, which was a clear
indicator of such. As I was busy preparing the meal, I felt rewarded knowing that
my efforts were feeding into the well-being and enjoyment of those we were
feeding. It felt pretty good, even though we were working behind the scenes, to be
a part of something this people enjoyed so much. I hope that, despite not
witnessing the direct impact, the community had a fantastic day, enjoying not only
the food but also our team's collaborative work.

B. Nursing Action (20%)

As a member of the food committee, my nursing responsibilities included ensuring
that the meals we prepared were safe, healthy, and presented in an organized
manner. I worked closely with my team to plan and distribute food to community
residents. To avoid contamination, we adhered to stringent hygiene rules, ensuring
that the food was handled with care from the moment it was washed until it was
served.

C. Personal Reaction/Feelings (20%)

There was also a sense of bittersweetness as the week came to a close. For the
past four days, I was able to form friendships with fellow volunteers and witness the
great influence we had on Brgy. Surok. It seemed like a great conclusion of all the
hard work that happened from day one to day five. At the same time, it was a kind
of thankfulness to have a chance to get involved meaningfully, even with mere
gratitude in the background.

D. Critical Thinking / Integration (20%)

I see how the event emphasized cooperation, preparedness, and the holistic health
care approach.Although my role was behind the scenes on the culinary committee,
it became clear that every part of the day required meticulous preparation and
execution in order to be effectively successful. This allowed me to understand the
significance of collaboration in any community health endeavor—whatever aspect
the committee happened to be responsible for, whether triage or logistics or food,
their work was critical to making a positive difference.

E. Recommendations (20%)
I don't think it needs any urgent advice. The event was well-planned, and any
participant involved did their best to make it a success. The food committee and all
committees worked together to fit the community's needs.

I feel that with the level of commitment and effort the participants had, each team
carried their share in making it such an amazing experience. Everyone was
proactive and totally engaged so that the event ran smoothenly. I feel no other
recommendations are required because of everyone's collaborative attitude and
attention to detail so that the concluding day of this event was memorable and
successful. I think this experience will work as a platform for community health
programs further on where similar efforts and collaboration will continue to thrive.
