CRISTIANO RONALDO

His name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro. Born in Funchal, Madeira;
February 5, 1985, known as Cristiano Ronaldo, he is a Portuguese footballer. He
plays as a left winger or striker and his current team is Al-Nassr F. C. of the Saudi
Professional League.

He is a full international with the Portugal national team, of which he is captain, top
scorer and player with the most appearances with 205 games, an achievement
reached in the qualifiers for Euro 2024, recognized by the Guinness Book of
Records.

Ronaldo began his career with Sporting Club de Portugal, where he won the
Portuguese Super Cup before signing for Manchester United in 2003 at the age of
18, where he established himself as an elite footballer after winning three Premier
Leagues, two EFL Cups, one FA Cup, two Community Shields, one Champions
League and one Club World Cup, and was awarded the Golden Ball, the FIFA World
Player of the Year and the Golden Shoe, trophies that accredited him as the best
footballer in the world as of 2008.

After starring in the most expensive transfer in the history of soccer at the time, he
joined Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, where he improved as a footballer, reaching his
highest records in play and goals. At the Spanish club he was the first player to
surpass the historic figure of thirty-eight goals in a league season, setting the new
record at forty goals, a record that helped him win his second Golden Boot in 2011.
As a Madrid player, he won two King's Cups, two Leagues, and two Spanish Super
Cups, thus completing the Spanish triple crown, plus four Champions Leagues, three
European Super Cups and three Club World Cups. His performances led him to win
another four Ballon d'Ors - in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 - and another two Golden
Boots - in 2014 and 2015 - and to rank among the top three players in the world for
eight seasons. In 2018 he signed for Juventus in a transfer initially worth €100 million
(£88 million), the most expensive transfer for an Italian club and the most expensive
for a player over the age of 30.
